hello! this is something that i've had in the works for a while (and on the backburner for a couple years now..) but i've finally started transferring my ao3 writing onto my website so i finally feel ~justified~ in posting this here!
i really love fallout 4 and im disappointed by how lackluster bethesda made their writing and that they really half baked it. so i looked at it and went "hmm... my city now!" and flipped everything over. the basic factions and dynamics are still present, but i put a lot of focus on paladin danse especially because i Hate (like i cannot exaggerate How Strongly i feel about this) the fact that danse's character/voice lines don't change at all if you end up saving him and destroying the brotherhood!
so i took it upon myself to scrap most of the fallout 4 story and focus down on life in the wasteland and how people interact with each other.
the full title of the au's acronym is "to change and not to change" to reflect the ways that some characters, over time, will change because of what they go through and what they experience - and how others double down in their beliefs and shut out everyone else.
the first and biggest piece of writing has been moved over to my site,
Best of Intentions ! it's my re-hash of the events
following the quest Blind Betrayal in-game. this particular one contains heavy themes of suicidal ideation.
the story as a whole contains very heavy and mature themes, such as death, addiction, drug abuse, and violence - generally run of the mill fallout expectations, but kind of back towards 1/2 roots rather than bethesda's lean towards the more campy style!
