Hello! This is something I've had on my mind for many years, but I figured this place may be a good place to start my actual search.

As most children of the early 2000s were, I was big on virtual pet sites in my youth. I used to scour ranking sights to try and find new sites to feed my neverending hunger for more creatures to care for, and there's one I remember quite vividly that I've never been able to find again.

I don't remember much about it other than the primary pets you took care of were humanoid-ish robots--not animals, but not fully gynoid/android either. In my mind they kind of resemble Bionicles? And you'd do tasks around the site/world with your robot to help evolve them and change their form.

I haven't been able to find any evidence of something like this existing other than this old Reddit thread describing something similar to what I remember (I especially remember the pink and white robot--although who knows if I'm thinking of the same thing as this OP).

Maybe one of you internauts will have clearer memories of something like this!

Wow, this is a petsite that I wouldnt have been old enough to play when it was still around. It sounds really cool though?! It has presumably no relation but there used to be a petsite called "Corepets" I believe, where you collected robot parts to construct animalistic robot pets. that's the only explicitly robot-themed petsite I know about

I just did some googling/WBM-ing and dang, Corepets looked so cool! I probably would have liked that one a lot too. I definitely remember that the one I'm thinking of featured more humanoid robots though, so yeah unfortunately not a match, but I appreciate you filling me in on something cool I didn't know about!

The hunt continues...  :trash:
