Im very new to programming, so i have to ask. which of the 2 is better for game development? I plan to use godot which forces me to use C++, but if c# is easier/better i'll have to move to the unity engine. of course this is all hypotheticals, im first going to learn regular C, and im probably going for the C triad. just, which should i learn first?

Godot supports C#, C++, and C, in addition to GDScript. The best language for what you want to do depends on what you want to do specifically and personal preference. What kind of games do you want to make? Are they 3D or 2D? Do you want to run them on weaker hardware? How big will they be? Which language is personally easier for you to learn and use?

Godot's documentation recommends GDScript for new programmers; it's a high level language with syntax similar to Python and automatically manages memory by default. It's not as good performance wise compared to C, C++, or C#, but it's possible to use it in addition to those other languages for a middle ground of performance and ease.

The language depends on your target platform and development tools available for it. The language that is native for the platform is always the best choice.  :pc:  :pc:  :defrag:
