Anybody knows if it's possile to get a setup like this image in 2026? Only in appearance of course because this has a 64MB RAM and 8GB HDD, it's never gonna run on a modern system.

I tried looking for plastic shells/cases through google but only found either literal kids lcd toys, ai-generated images or gaming setups that have absolutely nothing to do with what I was looking for.

Many thanks!  :cheesy:

If you could find one for sale there's nothing preventing you from using one of those monitors with a new system, speakers too. Might not be incredible for a main monitor though given the low resolution.

If you were willing to put a lot of effort into it you could also probably convert one of the cases into a sleeper build with a modern mini-ITX form factor motherboard. Though they tend to also be more expensive due to the miniaturization involved.

They also kind of reminds me of the iMac G3, though the specs on them aren't much better.  :drat:

As far as modern systems go, I don't know of any modern monitor that ships with an clear casing like that, maybe you could commission someone for a custom one? Might be really expensive though.

I knew I'd seen that case somewhere, its an easynow! They were horrible cheap computers, but they case is very cool, particularly with those matching monitors omg I've never seen anything like them!

There are a few slimier late-90s designs, like the Apple Studio LCD - the prob is that all this stuff is incredibly collectable now so you end up paying too much for what it is, if you can even find it!

You could scrape something together using CNC cut acrylic sheets slotted together, but it would be really hard to do curves without proper manufacturing.

For example this is a CNC acrylic case (a lot of university's and hacker spaces would have such a machine)

That's prob the closest you'd get at the moment, although I'd be really surprised if we don't see some popping up on sites like Aliexpress, it can be fun looking there, this is not exactly what your looking for but it is kinda funky.

You could always go DIY and make a case. If done correctly you can put acrylic into an  oven and mold it into any shape you want. In your case a more bubbly bulbous shape. (The proccess kinda looks like blacksmithing). A laser printer would work well also. You could then get a prebuilt computer and put it in the case or build one yourself.
