What kind of phone do you have?

i use an iphone SE. it's not the newest or greatest, but i like it a lot. it's really important to me for my phone to have a home button, which doesn't seem to be very common on a lot of newer models. i don't mind that it's considered outdated, either. i've always been the type of person to keep a piece of technology until it breaks. i think constant upgrading is unnecessary, because if it works, it works.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro. It was a Christmas gift back in late 2021. It's still in good condition, aside from the battery life being at around 83%. I have Apple Care so one day, I'll probably get the battery replaced. Other than that, I should be able to hang onto this phone for a while as I'm not really interested in upgrading.

Like a couple other people in this thread, I use an iPhone SE (3rd gen) which released in 2022 and I purchased in 2025 just before they discontinued that line of phone for the iPhone 16e. It's great because it has both classic and modern features. e.g. it has both a physical home button and full Airpods support! I don't know what I'll get after this phone borks itself, because I really don't want to get a phone that's just a bigass screen :/

as of currently: the nothing phone 4a pro

to be honest? it's ok. when i first got this phone, i of course had this new phone excitement and all that. as the months went by though, i feel that it wasn't anything that blew my mind. which, it doesn't need to. it doesn't need to be groundbreaking, it just needs to be a phone, because aside from web browsing and using some apps here and there, i'm not too heavy of a phone user.

i will say, it's really annoying that i'm having this weird wi-fi issue where i have to constantly disconnect and reconnect my wi-fi, which has soured my opinion on it. might reach out to my warranty company to see if this is something that they cover, but it's played a non-insignificant factor in my overall feeling of this phone being more "meh" than i would otherwise feel about it.

as it stands though, i got it because it's essentially one of the best value i could've gotten for a phone that's not too expensive.
