Creature Collector Games

Hey yall! today i was thinking about games, and i thought...why not make a thread dedicated to one of my favorite game genres ever?

CREATURE COLLECTORS!!

I love these types of games, particular the RPG ones. And I wanna talk to other people who like them too!! I'll share some of my faves...

Pokemon - Yeah, of course this was gonna be on here. I'm a pokemon fanatic, everyone knows that. But I don't wanna focus on it!! I'll share some other faves from the genre.

Shin Megami Tensei/Persona - Love these series! In particular, my favorite SMT game is IV. It's one of the best RPG experiences i've played on a portable console, it's got such an incredible atmosphere, soundtrack, etc...the characters and monsters rock, too. As for persona, my favorite is Persona 3!! I love everything about it.

Cassette Beasts - Suuuuch an underrated indie gem tbh. The setting is interesting, the battle mechanics are super cool, and the monster designs are soooooo fun. They're very unique and eclectic! I hope it gets a sequel or something soon. I need moar!!!!!

Beastieball - One that i need to play more of! I haven't touched it since the early access came out way back when, and it's been updated a ton since then. The artstyle is adorable and the battles are super unique and strategic!! Love it

i'll probably think of a few more too :P what are some creature collector games you like? and what are some you'd like to try?

Omg yes good thread! Right now the main one I'm into besides pokemon and digimon is Keitai Denjuu Telefang for gameboy colour, I'm actually about to finish my let's play for it. At some point I wanna do the sequel for the gba as well, and the other games by the same company, Dino device and Bugsite I think they're called. But telefang has been amazing. I strongly reccomend it, it has great designs, fun gameplay, and great dialogue and story.

Besides that I have some other games I've been meaning to try, mainly cassette beasts, nexomon, monster rancher, moonstone island, and jade coccoon. But I pretty much want to play everything. I even enjoy the monster collector minigame on gaiaonline, Lake Kindred.
