For a 32-Bit Cafe code jam I made a shrine on statistics. I had to hold myself back from rambling on forever. I hope whoever stumbles upon this page learns something new from it.

My memory card game is done! Right now it has two different decks you can select from of distinct style, and adding more in should be extremely simple... the hard part is drawing them all, haha.

This was really fun to play! Well done.

i just published a page on my site with sound recordings from different locations that i've had in mind for a while. it's good to get it out there finally!

added an artwork gallery to my site. this is a huge milestone for me because I've always wanted to have a bit of a virtual portfolio of sorts. I used to use a tumblr tag to keep everything in one place, but finding that after I haven't posted any art in a while was a huge hassle. this is way more convenient and it looks a lot nicer.

im published v4 of my personal site!!!!!!!!! very exciting !!!! went back to my original kinda aesthetic of unicorn so and stuff  . the clover hype went down a bit

my first goal for returning to work on my website was to improve my homepage, and i did just that last night! you can see it here.
i actually really dig how it came out as it matches exactly the vision i had for it in my head!

the blog rework is up next, and then i'll be likely working on new content. revising pages has also just gotten me back into the groove of reading css and html, because it turns out when you don't really do that for a couple of months it's not the easiest to come back to! (at least for me.)

I *think* I prefer the new, I'm liking the little pixelated vibe of the navigation. Still lots to improve though 🙂

I also started using 11ty; copy-pasting a million HTML files felt very 1997, needed some kind of system to make my life easier and 11ty felt very intuitive and easy to pick up!

finally implemented options/settings on my site :DD!! got 1 alternate theme + a font size slider :D a bit janky but it works :] planning on adding some more options like image ones in future

I made a new blog post covering an old survey I did about Online Communities and how they affect people.

The survey was conducted in late 2019 for a school project and asked various questions regarding online communities. These questions ranged in scope from "What platforms would you use to find a community?" to "Has involvement in an online community affected how you interact with people IRL?" I also reflect on how the results of the survey have aged, as well as whether or not the survey deserves a second run to see how online interaction has changed in the past 5 years since its initial conducting.

I think it would be really interesting to redo the survey, especially because online interaction has changed so much in the past 5 years. Though if you share the survey in web revival spaces, you are likely to encounter completely different responses than if you share it through conventional social media. Your call, but I think you have some interesting questions that are worth asking again.

That is a good point. I did write the original questions with conventional social media in mind because that's where the survey was being shared and where I was most active at the time. With how different the two are, I would have to think carefully about how I would go about doing the survey again. The two main ideas I'm thinking off the top of my head would be to either:

• Have completely separate question sets for Web Revival users and Conventional Social Media users
• Ask questions pertaining to what type of web usage the respondent is most active in (ie. questions like "Where do you spend the most time on the web", "Do you use conventional social media platforms?", or "Which do you think is better to use: Social Media or Personal Websites?")

Again these are just ideas, but ones I will have to think on if I decide to do the survey again.

added a new section to my site where I talk about hoaxes related to aliens because wowie they're interesting! I can never commit to traditional blogging because I don't feel like I have much to say and subjective writing is difficult for me, but I think I'll add quite a bit to this in the future. https://nuclearblues.neocities.org/alien_hoaxes/main

Yesterday I published a rework for my tokusatsu shrine's navigation, using jQuery to insert it on each page like how my main site is set up instead of just copying across the options. This was to support having more pages to explore, as I have quite a few ideas for new sections written up in my notes! Not sure at what point a shrine becomes a full fansite, but I'm getting a little close I think I'm really jazzed about how it looks! Getting that sticky menu to work was so satisfying.

As well as breaking out the introduction to the series guides onto its own page, the first two new pages are for Leaks and Fakes and the Tokusatsu to BL Pipeline. For the Leaks page I hunted high and low for the funniest images - there's some very silly ones in there that are amusing even if you aren't familiar with the shows and the Tokusatsu to BL Pipeline is about how many tokusatsu stars end up immediately going on to act in boys' love dramas, with such regularity that the fandom has been calling it a pipeline for years  much to the delight of lgbt tokusatsu fans of course.

This was extremely useful to read. I have a Tumblr mutual who is into Kamen Rider and everytime I'd see a post I kept thinking "Why are there so many different characters? Isn't there just one Kamen Rider?" So now I know it's a tokusatsu just like Super Sentai. It was really fun to read all the Kamen Rider entries and your recommendations.
