... but I cheated a bit with external resources.

I don't see a problem with that, you can follow whatever rules you want.
I just wanted to see how much I could stuff into 1KB, media included.
It's an interesting balancing act. Using external resources helps a lot though I imagine. The html to bring in an external resource is likely longer then using a local one, but the local resource would take up far more space in the end. My little flower picture is like 30% of my total space, same with the MIDI file that plays.

I've heavily improved upon my photography section! Navigation and a page for links to other photography sites are two things it didn't have before. There are also more images now. :O)

I finally made my comic a proper organized front-page on a dedicated url! 

Now I just have to decide what other fun stuff to add there (and also maybe give my main website the same level of a makeover...)

It was so fun to dabble in the design side of it all a little bit deeper.

I finally got around to adding a guestbook! it turned out really neat, even if it was a bit of a pain to get it running


Now its onto the next little feature of my site... a fun little path of secrets :D

finally made my commission page an actual gallery! (https://zombiegirl.neocities.org/commissons) it used to be picture under picture ;-; it looked so bad I'm so happy it looks like an actual gallery!! I feel so accomplished!

I added a (partial) grayscale mode to the home page of my website :) It turns my website background gray for people who are overwhelmed by the pink or the many different colors, and is also not animated. The clickable elements are exempt, so this also makes it easier to spot the stuff that is clickable to access the other sites.
For now, the image of my face, the Ava font, and the buttons are also not grayscale; I think in the future, I will remove the buttons in the grayscale mode and also turn my face and Ava font gray by replacing them with gray versions when the button is clicked, but for now I need a break

Today, I managed to get my DS directory page set up, though it's just the "homepage" for that section that's working right now— I still have to do all of the game icon pages too! My website finally has a cool links page I am proud of and also a carbon footprint badge that refreshes once a day. Right now it doesn't show a result (but the check works on their website) but I'll keep an eye on it

edit: it does show now! "0.05g of CO2/view; cleaner than 95% of sites tested" website says that's roughly 10kg of CO2 a year and emits the amount of carbon 1 tree absorbs in a year. Still, it uses enough electricitry a year to drive an electric car 149km. Makes you think!

New shrine alert! Last night, I posted a shrine relating to one of my top favourite series ever— KTP (Kill The Past)! Also wanted to pop in to say that aside from finishing my Filou shrine, I added some new functionalities to my diceroller and fixed my eel (snake) game. My next plans are making some custom backgrounds for both myself, since these are not mine.
