I created something perhaps at odds with my dislike for many of the bigger social medias. I have some memes and posts I like saved, and get sent some (saying "that's you" ) or some get posted in my group chats that I like, and I thought, why not display those in their own little feed on my site for fun? So I created that. I think they can give people an idea about me or just make them laugh. Spoiler There's probably a lot of meta discussion that could be had about bringing social media elements to a neocities page but hey, I am having fun. Memes and some opinion posts are largely something I don't mind about modern internet culture, and the choice to display it in a tumblr-esque feed is more for fun and ease of view than a statement. And hey, no tracking, no likes, no endless scrolling, no account But perhaps, it is in spirit of the web revival after all. Even on here it is said to not abhor the entire modern web, not to be nostalgic, but take what we think is great and evolve into a better direction with it

I like this! I think it's still in the spirit since it's based on personal curation rather than endless content churn, like you said. And the Tumblr layout is so similar to actual Tumblr that it made me do a double take lol. I like how it's not all just memes but some thoughtful posts as well... It's a nice page :)

Did a lot! Completely redesigned my about me page. New layout, and completely new code, and incorporated the page that held some pictures of my life. The old one was the second page I ever coded, so the code was extremely messy and lots of it wrong or redundant. I think I'll see how I can optimize the layout design a bit more, since it loads a bit slow. Also edited some stuff on my home page - new font, removal of contact button because that's on the about me page now, removal of the selfie, different order of text. Reworked my minimalist mode site to also be the mobile friendly site, but that is far from done; I still need to make some pages for mobile to link there, and optimize the existing linked ones there if possible. My website now should detect a mobile device and redirect to the mobile page. I only have an iPhone 13 to test, but it works for me. Next up, I will edit the background image for new shelf stuff.
