For anyone that uses Matrix: Use the dev version of Sable. The Forest System has added native plural support to it (persona), with fallbacks for clients that don't support it. It supports proxies, autoproxy, custom name colours, and PluralKit import. Clients that don't support persona get a member's name prefixed to their messages (this can be toggled). Some screenshots.

I'll write a longer post about it later in the Discord Alternatives thread, but it's by far the most feature complete Matrix client there is. It supports calls, video calls, and emojis just fine. It even has custom themes!
