This is such a cool idea! I think I'm going to try it myself, and I think this might be a great use case for arch linux. Thanks for sharing that.
completely anecdotal on my behalf, and it was only on one distro, but my 2013 macbook pro really did not enjoy fedora 43 and I could not get the wireless card to work in my attempt. I should go back and try another distro on this and on my 2009 macbook as well to see if my experience is any different.
interesting. i have a generic dell inspiron laptop currently that i got from BB, im currently running linux mint.
linux struggled with BT heavily on this machine, i couldnt listen to any audio without it skipping every 5 seconds.
eventually i swapped in a different wifi card and that fixed it
