Games you've always wanted to play but haven't

What are some games that you've seen plenty of times and always wanted to play, but just haven't for some reason?

When I was younger I played a lot of 3DS demos and I kept going back to the one for Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, but I never ended up getting that game cause I was a kid and would spend my eshop money on other things. Despite this I have one of the overworld songs permanently ingrained in my head because of playing the demo so much lol

That and whichever Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game was on 3DS, never played that either but I really enjoyed the first 15 minutes or however much they give you

I was at a birthday party of one of my friends from elementary school in 1998 when the party kid received the first Spyro game as a gift. He immediately popped it into his PS and it took just a minute of gameplay for me to come back home BEGGING my dad to please find a version for our PC (we only had that!) but nothing, Spyro was Playstation only and emulation for that console at the time wasn't really an option.

Even when years passed and PS emulation improved, Spyro games had infamous anti-piracy measures that simply deleted your progress as you went on.

I had to wait for the Reignited version to come out so I could play the original trilogy! Even then, you know it isn't the same thing as playing the actual OGs on original hardware...

as a kid, i ALWAYS wanted to try skylanders after i saw my old friend's brother playing with them. i never got a chance to :( there were also a lot of 3ds games i wanted to play. i finally got a 3ds recently, modded it, and now i can play out my dreams

Whenever I visited some friends as a kid they would always be playing some version of Sims 2. The version in which they have penthouses in the city is still so memorable to me. I'd always wanted to play that but my mom never bought me a copy of the game (I only had Nintendo handhelds anyways).

Another game is Prototype. I just loved the cover so much, but it was obviously too mature for me. I also never owned a console that could play it. It's still on my wishlist to this day, just from vibes only.

Psychonauts has been a top five game for me for several years now, but I've still somehow never played the sequel. I keep meaning too, but things keep getting in the way or I find video games I feel a more immediate urgency to play. It's really such a shame though, since I've heard nothing but good things about it.

I've been also wanting to play ENA: Dream BBQ for a long time. I was gonna play it with my sister, but she pretty much forgot about it.

One of these days i'll finally get around to playing breath of the wild to completion. I have a physical copy, I just have such little patience for rpgs. I just need to lock in    I know BOTW will be worth it, I've seen the ending a thousand times over, and i love that game aesthetically speaking. I just need to PLAY it ........

Always wanted to try out Paper Mario Color Splash, seemed fun + my cousin had the game  . I love the Paper Mario Francize (especially Super Paper Mario ) and Color Splash was a mario game I have yet to play, along with any game that was on the Wii U. Never had one as a kid, but we had 7 NES's

Goes with saying also never played PlayStation games, but yearn to find a console to play Vibribbon on, or PaRappa the Rapper 1 or 2. Simply put, they're classic silly rhythm games I need to put my grubby little foxy paws on and experience outside a youtube video

Any of like the Touhou Project games, I've always been semi aware of it thanks to like hearing the music (alot of it that I ended up liking) and seeing some of the characters around and honestly I'm kind of interested in it and have wanted to get into Touhou for some time now, but for some reason I've never gotten around to playing any of the games and I don't know why.

uhhh from memory:

• hollow knight/hollow knight: silksong
• pokemon snap (switch version)
• monster hunter rise/monster hunter sunbreak
• the legend of zelda: tears of the kingdom
• the legend of zelda: echoes of wisdom
• sea of stars

there's more, but the reasons for these all boil down to: "i'm buried under enough games that i'm more interested in playing, so these kinda have to take a backseat". and well. they've been on that backseat for quite a long time. :c

For me, that's been Ghost Trick. I'm in the middle of DGS2/TGAA2(The Great Ace Attorney Adventures 2) and I thought it looked super cool. I still have to go through Phoenix Wright vs Professor Layton first though..

Super excited for Ace Attorney 7!!!

I never got a chance to play Pokemon Black and White because after playing Silver and Ruby/Sapphire, I was annoyed by Crystal, Emerald and Platinum making me feel sort of "punished" into an inferior game experience by getting in early. So I settled down and was like "No I'm gonna wait for gray or whatever 3rd game comes out. And THATS when they stop and go the Black and White 2. My face when...

FINAL FANTASY 14. The most elusive game in my entire life. Wanted to play it so bad as a kid, but I wasn't allowed to. Now that I'm an adult with my own money, it now...takes an unreasonable amount of hours to download every time it needs to update to the point where I had to use a third party launcher and a VPN simultaneously, and those basically didn't help past making it 46 hours instead of 48. i still can't play it.

When Pizza Tower came out, I kinda wanted to play it, and I put it in my Steam wishlist but never got it for some reason. I wasn't super eager but it seems like a really fun game, and now that I'm thinking about it again, I'd love to play it. I've seen a friend play some of it and I also listen to the music sometimes.

Is your account in the same region as you are? If it is not, that would be why it is so slow. It does not effect what servers you can play on, nor does it effect the game's language.

Hmm,
I'd say the Devil May Cry games. Always seen my cousin play them, just never got into them myself though they looked fun. I also got my PS2 pretty late at the time. I could play through them now, but I honestly have a large enough backlog and interest in other games at the moment including indie games. That and a much more limited gaming time

Others? I guess:
- Warframe
- No Man's Sky (AFTER all the updates. I played it day one....totally different game now)
- Doom 2006 Onward (though admittedly, I've never played any of the Doom games prior)
- Skies of Arcadia
- .//sIGN Games

Probably more in that list. I do what I can lol.
