splatoon raiders!

for whatever reason i kept myself completely out of the loop when it came to splatoon raiders. all i knew was it was "single player", not that it matters because i will eat up anything that the splatoon franchise puts out. but i am actually pleasantly surprised with this game? its like helldivers but it actually runs well and it is adhd pilled in a satisfying way. playing for the past few days made me realize how much i love the salmonids and enemy mechanics. also all the new gadgets and the tinkering system are sick, im having a blast leveling everything up.

im just gushing but wanted to know if anyone is playing or if raiders has been anyones entry to the splatoon universe?

I haven't played Splatoon since I was a kid on the original Wii U.      What's going on with the franchise? I have no idea what's going on with it, lol.

I had the same reaction on announcement where I disregarded it because it was not a 'real' Splatoon game.. then I realized the other day that the Splatoon campaigns are always incredibly solid and enjoyable, so this game would probably really good lol

Still don't have a Switch 2 so I won't be playing it anytime soon but it's definitely high on the list if I ever get one

I'm definitely not as super plugged into the series as many others, but I've enjoyed it since the Wii U original! 2 and 3 continued to be fun online experiences, bringing new modes and tweaks. The cooperative Salmon Run mode introduced in 2 and refined in 3 became my favourite game mode.

The solo campaigns were fun but always felt like they could be something bigger. And... It seems like Splatoon Raiders is doing a good job at being that "something bigger"! I'm a few hours in and the gameplay is just lovely. Pure fun and satisfyingly challenging. If I didn't have responsibilities as a parent, I could definitely see myself losing several hours at a time to this game
