It's not just nostalgia

As one of the aforementioned "young people", this whole Indie Web thing is actually new to me.
I didn't even exist during the old days of the web, I have no nostalgia for it... yet I'm still here.
Because I want to have control over the internet instead of the internet having control over me. I want to feel like I'm connecting with real people. I want to find cool things that I'll actually remember. I want to be inspired and create cool stuff just because I can! Isn't that what all of this is really about?
