I think this might have been requested, but I want to toss it out myself if you don't mind! Is it possible to have a function that disables special fonts/customization in reading posts? It's just that some fonts can be hard to read at times ;v; Maybe a checkmark in the "look and layout" settings?

The two solutions available at the moment are to do it via CSS (see the forum guide) - or you can use the Newspaper theme which is readability focused! I'll make a note of your request for a checkbox though

Being able to make your own custom themes and submit it to a sort of theme list or just send u them and u add it! Idk if users making themes is a thing tho.

If you make a REALLY amazing theme then you're totally welcome to send it to me! It needs to be an SMF 2.0 theme! HOWEVER, themes are actually a huge amount of work to maintain; every time I do a bug fix or add a feature, it usually means updating and recoding bits of each theme separately - so adding a theme is a big deal and its not something that I'll do unless its really exceptional or there is a genuine community need for it

Sooo; you have to install a copy of the forum on your computer, and then you can download a theme and modify it!

This video seems to show the install process pretty well:

• First install XAMPP to run the server on your computer (install Apache, PHP and MySQL for you)
• Then install the forum - you can download it here using version 2.0.19.
• Once you've got it working you can find some example themes here (make sure you download a 2.0 theme, not 2.1!)
• Then you can install the theme on your forum - then open the themes files and start editing them!
• Finally, when you're done you can zip your theme folder and send it to me!

Even if your theme is not added or you don't finish one; it's still a great project for you to do; you'll learn a lot and it'll improve your web crafting skills to try!

Is it possible to enable embedding of video links into posts other than youtube?
Example link:

I mostly just want to be able to share my big collection of webm's I've made, and while I could upload them as an attachment, 600KB is kinda small to upload nice looking webms. But if we can support video embedding from other hosts, that would work supremely well.
(Please don't ask me to use GIFs... lol...)

Do you have a copy of the default theme

It's actually so heavily modified I think it'll crash horribly if you try and run it on any other server, but this is the base theme that the MelonLand theme was built on; so if you use it you've got the same foundation I used! https://custom.simplemachines.org/index.php?theme=1504

Embeds should be working in previews now! (But let me know if there are bugs with that) I also properly disabled them on MelonLand 98 so they should not cause issues on older computers that cant handle the media!

Oh, and it'd be cool if we had an "online players" count on the forums for the Minecraft server!

Done! You can now see online Minecraft players in the info section of the main page (under online forum members) on all themes

Melon, do you plan to add more emoticons? i ask because i love emotes and i wish we had more! i have a HUGE collection of fine vintage web emoticons that i will gladly donate to the forum most of them are the classic emotes from deviantART. i went and saved them all, one-by-one, in a fit of "oh god with how bad dA is these days i wouldn't be surprised if they removed emotes so i have to save them for future generations" that i had a while back

What do you think about adding reactions to posts? I've seen the Yesterweb forum and other forums have this feature and I think it's a really cool idea.
