I really like cooking and i’m good at it. I’m gonna make brownies later today. What do you like to make and do you have any recipes?

Hmm I only do it because I need to eat. I'm not very good at it. I can't practice anything nicer either because I only ever cook/bake for myself. Recipes are usually for multiple people like pie or cake, I can't eat all of that alone.

I love cooking! One of the most satisfying experiences I think you can have is when you have a craving for something specific, so you try to make it yourself, and it turns out exactly the way you wanted it to. We all have to eat, so you might as well be good at it.

Believe it or not, I started learning to cook with boxed rice mixes. I made that over and over until I felt confident with it, then I started wanting to make plain rice and season it myself. I then moved to a Betty Crocker cookbook (easily found at garage sales and thrift stores) and the Joy of Cooking. The second one you usually will have to go out and buy, but it has recipes for everything, and the intro chapters explain everything you need to know about cooking basics. In my opinion it's one of the best cookbooks ever, definitely recommended!

One of my favorite things to cook these days is a Terriyaki Chicken and/or Beef recipe I came up with myself. I make it at least once a week, and my family loves it.

I've recently made a great stir fry: broccoli, bell peppers, teriyaki sauce, rice, ...

I am very proud of that. :loved:

I really enjoy it, but now that I live alone and have to do it every day and not just for the sake of it whenever I want I'm realizing that I kinda overestimated my ability at it. Hardest part for me honestly is getting the seasonings right or just being able to plan out recipies beforehand and shopping accordingly instead of just improvising with what's on hand. I might take TheFrugalGamer's advice and buy a cookbook just to get ideas of what to cook.
I might also take the advice on terriyaki too...

I love baking, I'm a little iffy on cooking. It's super satisfying to have something turn out and all, but cooking a meal is (to me at least) trickier than a lot of baking. I'm trying to learn, though!

I do have a recipes page on my site! It's kinda a backburner project, but it's getting there little by little.

cooking is nice its one of the few hobbies I have where I can also listen to music or podcasts

unfortunately I am a screwup in the kitchen so food does not turn out how I want most of the time

my favorite dish to make is probably biryani or paella. Love a good rice dish

I wouldn't say I enjoy the act of cooking, though I'm actively trying to get better at it.

But I've always loved experimenting with flavors and not to blow my own vertubenflugen but I'm pretty dang good at it.

I love cooking, and experimenting with different ingredients, techniques and flavours :ozwomp: Once I read that one of the best things you can do for yourself is learning to cook so good your own homemade food beats takeout. I don't know if I'm there yet but I do enjoy my own cooking a lot! I'm currently learning new kinds of soups and creams to stay warm this winter.

I'm a bit wary of cooking for others because I have the spirit of a 50's housewife who has been brought to the modern age and has discovered Pinterest (which is a very colorful way to say I like to get experimental and sometimes the recipes turn wrong), but my homemade margherita pizza is always a hit at parties :ozwomp:

I love to cook, I actually didn't learn how to really cook until my late 20's when I became vegan, because before then I didn't need to cook because I would eat prepare food, and fast food all the time, and the area I am doesn't have any vegan options outside of the grocery stores so I had to learn. I like to make so much so I will only say a few things, spicy mushroom and tofu sushi, blacken heart of palm sushi, and spicy heart of palm sushi (suppose to be a spicy tuna salad substitute.) I actually eventually want to make them into recipes but if anyone wants them I can describe what I do.

Cooking is so much fun! I own a great-sized wok which I make a ton of stir fries with. My most important things in the cupboard are soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice wine vinegar and mirin - with those, you can make just about anything. :) Learning to not be afraid of deep frying really helped me expand my cooking too (because I wanted to make prawn crackers....) Does anybody else just love prawn crackers? I can't get enough of those crunchy bad boys
