How did you come up with your username? Why did you choose it?

Hi! Didn't really know where to start posting so here goes.
One of the protagonist of the story I'm writing is named Willard (the guy running in my signature if I set that up correctly); the name being more common that I initially thought, I had to spice it up a bit to use it on most websites. I used to go by WillardTheFool but Willardonic has a nice ring to it, like a sort of organic/electronic dude living his best life in the wasteland. Cheers!

I created this username when I was in freshman year of highschool. I used to be very abrasive and edgy back then, so I thought up of terrible euphemisms and landed on couchguzzlr. (Im not explicitly saying what I extracted it from, but I’m sure one could take an appropriate guess)

I distinctly remember matching the user name with a picture of the cantina band members from Star Wars, so I might add that back on here too once I get the hang of things!

I removed the guzzlr for the past few years, since most online people just call me couch anyways! It’s turned into a great screen name because it’s short in length and distinct sounding :D it’s also a joy to bump into other couches online!

I came up with this username around 2021 to sign up for Trackmania: Nations Forever; 5 and 7 are my two favorite numbers, and I went with "CoolKid" for the text portion because I was underage and wanted to be considered a "cool" person IRL at the time. I reused it for Discord later on, and it's been my "main" username ever since.

I made it around...........2020 I think? 2021 maybe? I was changing my tumblr url and I decided to go with "not-too-many-eyes" since I had no better ideas as to what to make it, and since I didn't know what name to go by at the time I just went with "Not" but with an extra t so it became "Nott" and it just sort of stuck (though on some sites (usually petsites) I go by Morphomon)

only recently have i come up with a username that i think would be pretty neat - i doubt i'll ever stray away from 1dkreally as it's been my online name since i was around 12, but if i had to change it it'd probably be something along the lines of shapezncolourz :3

mine was pretty simple. I like astronomy even though I barely keep up with the space news. I like to make any customizable space on my apps or websites and laptop wallpaper with nebulas nebulae? and fun space anomalies. I play a lot of No man sky too but I loved space before the 2016 release (its gotten way better and just released the worlds part 2 update). I add north because Im from New England, Boston Massachusetts specifically.

I wanted something simple but also something with my name in it. I really like the word "web" for some reason to describe the internet, the way it rolls off my tongue just feels really nice i named my site Astrid's Web Castle, so i debated for a while on a couple usernames taking inspo from that
I was going to be astridwebprince but that just didn't have as good of a ring to it. astridontheweb is a bit of a basic choice but in my mind it fits very well and I like it
Also, i spend a lot of time online. Not as much as i used to thankfully but i still use my laptop a lot, so i guess it fits XD

I've technically had two main usernames, the first is Inkling Studios (which I now use for my project of sorts), I made it back in 2015 as a reference to Splatoon (Inkling Studios) as it was my favorite game at the time and what I revolved all my content around.
Though in 2021 I realized it kinda didn't mean anything (plus I haven't made anything Splatoon related since like... 2019) so I renamed myself to Bakartridge, I really wanted a name with the word "Baka" in it (both because it's a funny word and a reference to how I spent a lot of my life in Japan), so I combined it with the word "Cartridge" as it relates to retro/old games (mainly NES games), hence Bakartridge (pronounced Ba-Cartridge).

Mine's sort of a reference to a podcast I enjoy, "The Magnus Archives". I find it pretty funny that I enjoy it because I'm planning on becoming an archivist, but it's essentially a cosmic horror podcast that takes place in an archive, with each episode being a different statement in the archive relating to a supernatural occurrence (spoilers beyond here)

I used to be a big Jacksepticeye fan, so I wanted a similar username to his but with a Creative spin.
So I was thinking we had Chickens in particular a very Rowdy big Rooster, an Orpington Rooster so really big Rooster, so I decided to incorporate something with rooster, a bit of Crazyness added, and of course my love  for Jackspeticeye and voila Crazyroostereye is born.
Another Benefit of the name why it stuck was it is unique in that nobody else uses it. So when I register on Pages I can always use my name without adding a 1 or something to it.

Except GitHub, I am very sure that is my Account, but I don't have any access to it and I do not know on what email it is, and I checked all of mine.

Hiii guys it's my first time here! My username makes a reference to Impractical Jokers (this one episode where sal uses the name Tanka Jahari and that name has stuck with me ever since :)) I'm seeing other usernames here and they're so cool lol.

I've had more than a few. One because I was an imaginative kid, others from games. My current one is the result of a joke. Riza, a character I repurposed from a PBP game for use for a d20 game in my usual friend group. The relevant thing about her is that everyday because of unstable DNA she 'evolves' into a different kind of dragon. The initial one being what's called a dungeon dragon. I threw Jet in front and here we are.

My user name is based of a Diablo II barbarian I played back in the day. I used it/some version of it as my user name for basically every thing I do online for decades now.

i was a biig club penguin fan at the time (still am) and i came up with therookinator3000 (or the-rookinator-3000) from combining the common gimmick gary the gadget guy has with his inventions.. "the [ ] 3000" with rookie's name!! to be honest, it's more akin to a dr. doofenschmirtz name gimmick than gary's, but i'm too attached to change it! 

i came up with zziz(+ful) from my OC zziz!! i just attached the "-ful" part in order to make it sound nice. i usually use it as a proper username.

Aletheos, from the greek word for truth αλήθεια(alítheia), changed to have an os‒sounding suffix to turn it into a masculine name(at least that's how I thought it worked at the time I came up with it, years ago. I don't actually know greek).

Why? It represents my ideal self, a truth-seeker and truth-speaker. The person I would like to be.
