after finally getting some motivation, i'm actually working on my personal site! so far i've been sharing things on the homepage to make it a little more cool - it used to just be some plain text about how there was nothing there yet :p
probably going to start the about page later today as well!

i also plan to design some buttons today! one for my site and one for a friend. maybe more if i'm feeling up to it.

I have been going completely full-tilt on webdev these past few weeks.

 

I've been building:

-A new site where I have Sozai and other resources...I have a lot of cool ideas for this site. I am really looking forward to launching it.

-A CMS of sorts for my novel site, using PHP. It dynamically generates the TOC, the chapter pages, and a nav system using some metadata stored in an array, then fetches the text of the chapter from a flatfile and inserts it. Using the index of the arrays (for each chapter) it's then able to generate a "Prev" or "Next" chapter button (or not!!). I whipped it up today and I'm pretty happy with it, functionality wise. I have a few other ideas for features I'd like to implement in this one before I start styling it, but I REALLY like how it's turned out so far!

Other than that, lots of messing around w/ tools, scripts, and just trying to figure out what I wanna work on.

Oh boy. Guess i'll start with my website. I'm trying to figure out 3D CSS that's not super volatile, so i can have things like rotating walls with site content on them. I'm also considering trying to make a Swatch clock with hands like an analog clock, but i've been putting that off because i'd have to learn some JS.

I'm theoretically making a video game but really procrastinating and sometimes reading the engine's manual.

I'm making slow progress on my Magic the Gathering style trading card game, Terra Chartara.

I just finished debugging my first mechanical keyboard, a Chouchou board with the Taipo layout, so i need to post the files for that somewhere so other people don't have to go to all the same trouble. It's very slow now because i'm not used to it, but it's more comfortable than i ever expect a new keyboard to be.

I'm making a neograph font so people can't read my computer over my shoulder. I just finished enough of the glyphs to start actually making it a font.

trying to create "about me" page. i really don't know what to put there lol. i just don't know what to say about myself except for my interests (which are kinda obvious if someone will check other pages). oh well. maybe i should make something like D&D character sheet, but about myself. or... not making this page at all? that'd work too.

trying to understand how to put all storytelling into wiki format. and make a page with game reviews. i have a layout and structure in my mind, and should probably draw this on paper first.

Coincidentally also working on my about page. I think I got it where I want it to be for now. My initial bio was very ad-hoc and I left it like that for a while to focus on other parts of the site. Now I have a slightly better idea of how I want to present myself, but man writing a proper biography is hard.

I had to change the blurb on the home page because some of that info is now on the about page. Maybe this is a good opportunity to comb through the site and make minor changes to wordings here and there.

I'm working on translating this one comic i randomly picked up on one of my many library stays . GODDD I LOVE THE LIBRARY.

It's called The End of Madoka Machina, no relation to the Madoka Magica franchise.



It's about depressed furries struggling to thrive throughout adulthood, urban fantasy, and furries. I consider it the Black Panther of sad college kid furries. IT'S SO GOOD.

Unfortunately it's Portuguese only, so i decided to contact the author for his blessing on translating it to share with my friends, and he even gave me an half translated pdf i could start from, yay!

So! Apart from freaking out about college entrance season and the horror of potentially having to get a job if that fails, i'm also working on translating the comic! Yay!

Seriously, if you speak Portuguese and reside in Portugal, go to a Bedeteca and look for the book as hard as you can or i'll get you. Alternatively, store bought (Fnac, Kingpin Books) is fine!

hi! i'm still at the very beginning of my coding journey but i very recently started to finally work on my very own webpage. honestly, i am just doing trial and error and gathering ideas currently. i should write down a few things i would like to work on, really..

silly little webpage with nothing special going on! :3
compared to everyone else it is probably super boring but whatever!!! also, i am really addicted to all the various 88x31 buttons. they are so pretty and flashy.

i am really excited to learn however. i've never really looked much into coding, but this is already so much fun!

I've been working a little bit on a lot of things, but the one I've made the most progress on lately and been the most excited about is some stuff for my stream!

I made a stream starting soon screen with a transition I put a lot of effort into making look as unprofessional as possible while still being nice to look at, which was surprisingly hard! So much of the tools I use are really tailored to making things look as clean and professional as possible, so making them look a little sketchy is hard but rewarding. I also have added a bunch of cute and fun gifs that relate to the games I am playing, and also put together this cool gif for a game I plan to play later this year!



I made it using sprite rips to recreate an animation from King Kong: The Official Mobile Game Of The Movie (2005) and I think that's super cool since I didn't know this game existed at all a short time ago, and it seems close to being lost media now. The reason I made it is that I have a playthrough, review, and whole personal little long-form bit planned around playing Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie (2005) for the PS2. It's a game that I feel like a lot of people don't know about but is hugely influential in games as a medium in general! And also has a funny name 


I've also been working less intensely or successfully on trying to get started on making a strategy game in Godot, which has been surprisingly hard! Implementing grid-based movement in the Godot engine is very new to me, when making games I'm much more used to text based navigation which is so simple in comparison.
