I'm not working on a website at the moment. But going to try and finally teaching my self html again.    Outside of that I'm writing short scifi story that actually started off life as a interactive forum game here before, I figured it better off as its own thing. Then changed the topic to https://forum.melonland.net/index.php?topic=4960.msg47712#msg47712 this.  Any ways whats the best way to learn html again?

I learned from a copy of HTML 4 for Dummies (which is part of why my practices are so old fashioned, i don't use CSS where i don't have to). It's pretty easy to follow starting out. Now when i want to know something specific it's easier to look it up on developer.mozilla.org or w3schools.com, or just experiment. Don't be afraid to look at other people's HTML, though you might have a hard time reading the source code for a lot of modern sites that are all generated and full of spaghetti code.

I admit i don't know what a real twit looks like, but i imagine this should be pretty easy with just a table or two and some minimal CSS for colors and borders. What's hard about it that i'm missing?

I had very recently overhauled my site, it's still heavily wip, I'm hoping to clean it up more, filling in all the missing stuffs, and after those are done (or doing this at the same time), I'm going to try to make a character profile for my favourite OC on my site
as well as a fake site for a fictional company from my OC world that I focus on the most for worldbuilding

I'm currently working on making my Neocities website homepage more interesting and more old-web styled! Right now I don't like it at all... But hey! I'm satisfied with how it's starting to look now! Still lot of work ahead, but I'll make it!!!!

Broadly, I am working on my hypertext multimedia webcomic, although I have been stuck on the same chapter for quite a while. Besides the major chapter I am working on, I try to add a few micro-updates to the website, usually by adding some interactive features or new graphics, and occasionally posting short vignettes or other lore/story-related things.

I've added a CRT filter to my website that is activated by pressing the monitor icon in the header. I've got it so the cookie saves whether you have the CRT mode on or off, but want a little animation or maybe a sound playing.

Between adding gifypet to my homepage yesterday, and setting up a simple guestbook through atabook today, I've been learning a lot about iframes! I'll probably want to mess with the guestbook page more later, but for now it's up and running and I'm more than happy with that. I thought this would be way harder to do than it actually ended up being. iframes are really fascinating now that I know how they work.

I am really proud of it. I know it's sort of simple, and I could have copy pasted pretty much... all of the code from w3schools... (i typed it though so that i remember it better haha lol) but I am really excited about it!! You can click the images and they get big!!! They're not just W I D E anymore!!! And scrolling works on the rows that have enough gifs!!! DUDE!!!! Overall I just am really happy with it and I'm so excited to have a good place to store my picmixes!!

Recently, I bought a secondhand e-reader (a Sony PRS-900, released all the way back in 2009!) and so I decided to look into how to make e-books using Calibre. It's not a 'new' project, technically, but I managed to convert my hypertext novella 'Bien, and the Antivirus of the Apocalypse' into an EPUB. It's not as great as the original HTML version, especially since you can't really maintain the hypertext format of the original with an EPUB, but it's nice to have something I made myself on the device.

I've just started working on a new project and I can't wait to make it public. Unfortunatelly, I'll have to make almost all graphics or decorations myself because the topic is too obscure. Can't just grab from someone's nice ready-made graphics collection

Right now i'm planning on renovating my website; things like redesigning a couple pages, adding more to the about section, improving optimization, etc. It'll take a while since i plan on drawing a lot of new assets for it but hey, i value the journey just as much as the destination :3 plus, it gives me more time to think about what i'm gonna write later as i have a whole list of short fanfiction ideas that i wanna work on :P

It's an open source web runtime for experimentation. It supports HTML & CSS, and per-request PHP, Node, and more. It's a tiny website host that you own, with a file manager and time travel Meaning it has version history and you can explore & download backups freely.

I've been doing a lot of code organization and overhauling for my site as a whole, yet to be posted.

As I learn more, I get excited and then opened my site project files to see disaster I once thought was perfect. 
But that's okay, I've been learning a lot from correcting my own mistakes, it's been pretty fun actually.

Specifically though I have been working on making a Pokémon shrine for my site. I want to wait until a couple aspects of it are at full form before I'm confident of posting it though. It's rekindled some sprite-working passion though. I've been trying to create a trainer sprite for myself with an overworld version as well, which actually has been the harder one of the two.

Excited to share when I'm finished!!... Eventually!

Stained glass. I drew a pattern very inspired by the Great Wave, but progress is halted until i have a workshop space set up because not all of my pieces are cut and ground down to the right shape and i really don't want glass dust and shards all over my house.


A constructed language. It's still in very early stages, but i got my copy of the Language Construction Kit in the mail a few days ago and it should help. I don't have a particular end goal for this yet. I'll probably use it partly as a naming language, and if i still like it when it's more developed i might try to learn it and translate my website into it.


Building my music collection. I recently got a bunch of (mostly used) CDs that i need to go through and rip.


Dungeons & Dragons. I've been assigned dungeon master by my family, who want to all play a campaign together.


Video games. I'm still enjoying Noita, and i've started playing Abzû and Tears of the Kingdom, which i expect to get in the way of my other projects a lot. I'm also most of the way through Hollow Knight and i do intend to finish that at some point.


Reading. I'm not very concerned with metrics like books read per year, but i recently finished I, Robot, Foundation and Empire, and The Island of Doctor Moreau; and started Why Q Needs U. I'm also still reading the Journey to the West and Lord of the Rings.


No new progress on my mechanical keyboard (i just need to buy wire), musical instrument, trading card game, guitar practice, or video game. No notable progress on any language learning.
