Where do these names come from?

Iv never heard anyone name moons where I live; but I found that list of names on the NASA website - from what I can see these names seem to be a result of mixed European and Native American folk traditions - https://www.nationalgeographic.co.uk/2019/02/full-moon-names-explained

Something to go in my calendar! And probably time to play Harvest Moon again. I wonder if my DS still works...

A good time to ask yourself...Would you still love them if they were a worm?

I wish I had something like a planetarium calendar that'd have all the celestial bodies in their proper positions based on the current (or dialed in) time and place. You could also have something like a month-long "long exposure" that shows the paths of everything as lines, and put things like important events on the 'timeline' of the moon's path, or whatever object you wanted. You could pin events to specific transits and alignments by just looking at where lines intersect, stick a pin in it, and the date would automatically be calculated based on the position of the pin.

Check out the Planets Today - I'm not sure if it's quite optimal for what you're describing, but it's a handy resource for DIY astronomers as well as more woo-woo inclined astrology nerds like myself. Let me know if this is helpful!!

Ah thank you for this list Melon! Does anyone like doing anything specialist for full moons?

Whenever I can, I like to try dedicate some time to gratitude and maybe doing a meditation to just let things go.
