Do You Like to Listen to Music As You Browse the Web?

Hypnospace Outlaw's OST just really compliments that vibe of browsing the web, as do songs that some consider "webcore". Sometimes, I like vibing out to music as I browse.

I'm gonna have the poll close at the end of the month, and then we can see what everyone's voted. I'm curious to see people's thoughts, here!

Im glad to see most people would pause their music for site music I actually use the radio on this forum a lot when Im browsing the web, its background music, so I find it relaxing but not too obtrusive on my thoughts!

I used to have music going in the background constantly, but for a few years I've noticed that if I have music playing it steals all my attention. So if I'm working or reading something online I have to keep it quiet or I lose focus.

If I'm gonna do a Browsing Session, I tend to listen to music of my own and if a site starts playing something else I'll pause my own so I get the full experience, just as the webmaster intended

Yes. Most of the time i listen either rap when i’m not on neocities, or city pop when I am. I tend to mostly listen while i’m working on my site not looking at other peoples though

Actually I don't really listen to music much unless I'm in the right mood or place. I love listening to music only when I can give it my full attention, otherwise I just find it distracting.

I do let website music to play though, as it is an important part of the overall experience intended by site owner.

No, I listen to speaking, Youtube videos with someone talking. I pause it if I'm reading something where I need to focus.

Shoegaze/Nugaze/Dream pop really, Idk the dreamy noise of the guitars just feels so right! If a site has music ill listen to that while im on it though

I enjoy listening to mixtapes I've made while browsing the net. These tapes are full of songs I enjoy from Youtube, Soundcloud and Spotify. I like not having control of what song comes next, and I typically don't look at what tape I select, so there's also an element of randomness to it!

Hell yeah!! As I write this message, I'm listening to some songs by Whispering Jack Smith. He was one of those big-time early crooners from the 1920s, and he's got this really deep voice like silk, so soothing and nice to listen to. My absolute favorite song by him is probably "Blue Skies" :D
