I'm taking a journalism class this semester and my textbook is a bit out of date...

I have to admit I had never heard of a trackback or about Technorati.

It does hurt when they talk about RSS though. :'( I hate that RSS isn't as widely used anymore, but at least many sites do still use it.

The copyright on this book is from 2010

Never heard of trackback or Technorati either, I remember in school (in like 200:cool: we had computer books that were from the late 80s and we had an entire week dedicated to how to make folders (did you know you can make folders IN folders AND rename them?!!) but the teacher was a little old lady so it was nice to humor her.

I think as this is in your course book the only correct way to proceed is to assume that this information is 100% accurate and correct for the remainder of your studies

Also I'm sure I took a picture of something slimier a few years ago (a page about web terminology), Ill have a look!

Reminds me of my typing teacher, Mrs. Neemzack (however it's spelled)... :loved: She used to poke students with a big finger pointer if they weren't typing properly, and I was such a good typist she let me do it one time.

Those computer classes were fun, we often got to play Marble Blast or Mavis Beacon in the last 10 minutes.

Having gotten into all this web revival stuff just before the semester, I found myself nodding along like it was true... I mean, it is true! :ziped:

Technorati is officially the coolest name ever! I also love the very "internet terms" like Blogosphere

What a shame such internet terms (e.g. "Netizen") aren't really used anymore :drat:
