LonePortal has a built in pet system. You can find eggs by being active on the site, get people to help hatch them (There was this dragon game from the Y2K era I use to LOVE that allowed you to add it as a signature and people could click and help hatch it that I built the egg system around) after you hatch the egg it turns into a monster that you can then battle/trade/sell(For site currency) as well as level up, pet/care for/etc.
