Since it's been a few days, I wanted to finally talk about the game! I'm busy these days so I haven't played much of it, so far I've only uncovered 4 places and I have maps for them + beat the bosses you see in the demo shown before with a few smaller ones too.
So far, I like it a lot! The world is beautiful and the art is as pretty as ever! It's nice to see the world from the pov of a different character too. I also like the quest system, it's actually quite interesting to see something like that in a game like Silksong, since in Hollow Knight the only real quests you had to do were the flower quest and Grimm Torupe quests if you wanted to. I've uncovered very little still, but I'm taking my time and enjoying it!
If there's something that I didn't like is that so many enemies and bosses deal double damage. This was only really a think in the latter half of Hollow Knight and very few normal enemies in the early areas, but to have something like that early and with regular enemies too is a little too much for me. I'd understand for the second area as it is filled with lava, so having lava do double damage does make sense, but some of the enemies? Not too fond of this. To be fair, healing is quite fast and you heal 3 masks per heal on default, but with base 5 masks it's kinda a waste if you're like me and like to enter an area that's new with max health cause I never know when I will get attacked by anything that deals more damage.
I won't talk much of the story for spoiler reasons, but so far I'm interested!!! Dealing with bugs we have heard of in the first game and could only see if you're lucky enough seems fitting for Hornet, considering her family background. I'm looking forward to how that goes!! I also hope that true ending (if the endings go the same way the og game had them) won't be as much of a nightmare as white palace was for me. Parkour is not my strong suit for sure.
