I personally love Sanrio but it's more that I love ALL kinds of mascot characters from japan haha (especially ones from children's television). With the amount of sanrio characters it's almost hard to pick a favourite XD

also if your wondering who my favorite sanrio characters are
its a tie between my melody and keroppi

I absolutely adore Keroppi and want to get more merch of him in future!
For my top favourites though, that spot is reserved for Pochacco and Hana-Maru !!

usahana: another bunny, this one a bit more outgoing, she dreams of being a ballerina someday!

YESSSS USAHANA IS ADORABLE !! I'm so glad to be seeing more merch of her as of late (now hana-maru needs the same love)

I currently have a few pieces of Sanrio merch including the Pochacco Build a Bear Plushies (minus his ADORABLE pajamas </3). Also on a side note Build a Bear were COWARDS for not making the pompom purin plushie chubby >:(



And then I also have a Kuromi figure I was gifted and some stickers I drew and printed myself huuhuu

My favorite Sanrio character is Chococat, which means I have to live with the pain of not being able to find a lot of stuff of him out there. I do have the 2024 BAB though...which makes me happy.

Even though I haven't really been watching the recent SANRIO shows, I do remember watching a couple of movies made by Sanrio way back in the 1980s.  Some of my favorite old-school Sanrio movies were the Unico movies and Ringing Bell.  Both of these movies were pretty dark, but that's what I loved about both of these movies.  I also used to watch the Hello Kitty TV shows during the 1990s and I really enjoyed those shows too.

But for anyone who has seen the current Sanrio shows, what Sanrio shows should I watch?  I want to see shows that have a cute aesthetic, but has dark undertones to the plots.

(i have not seen this OVA series yet, but someone uploaded all of it to youtube, so i probably should someday)

i really really love the twin stars. i was searching for cute t-shirts on depop one day, saw multiple with these little guys, and it was love at first sight. everything about their design and theming screams "rnotté". but it's getting disappointingly hard to find new apparel of them, and they only recently started appearing again in sanrio animation (specifically, the "hello kitty and friends" shorts). but as they are of the original generation, i believe they deserve as much love as the others

i mean the main villain watches his own dad get eaten alive

and everyone turns into zombies obsessed with food

but other than that its a very cute show with probably one of the best story's of any sanrio show

i used to be indifferent to them because i always thought the animal characters were cuter but i have started to enjoy them more since the were introduced in hello kitty and frends super cute adventures on YT

Sanrio characters are so cute. My favorites are Kuromi(of course),My Melody, Keroppi, and Hangyodon.

I grew to really appreciate Hangyodon after learning more about his personality and it makes me sad hearing he is not that popular and some find him ugly.
