(Ummm I might have a nightcore engraved iPod

Back in the yonder days of 2012-2015 I was SUPER into Nightcore - For those of you who dont know; Nightcore was a dumb youtube trend where you sped up a song by 25% and uploaded it with an anime picture ANYWAY; I am creating this thread for anyone who would like to remember nightcore and share their experiences!

I even had a few (unsuccessful) nightcore channels, so I thought Id share some my favourite uploads here!

Oh man, that takes me back, I remember finding one song some years ago. I think it was called Cocain and went down a rabbit hole of just how many nightcore songs there was.As for making my own music videos, I remember unsuccessfully using a free trial of FRAPS and World Of Warcraft model viewer. I did not know that the free trial recorded no sound and was limited to 30 seconds I did not read much as a kid...

oh. my. god. that ipod is amazing, i love it!
nightcore has been a guilty pleasure of mine for the past decade, i love this stuff. i still remember the mix that introduced me to it all, it has a lot of classics in it
I remember playing Killing Floor and listening to this stuff, man that was quite the experience. i recall arguing with one of my friends who was really into metal about whether or not nightcore was good lol.

there's something i find really comfy about sitting here and listening to some simple remixes. i don't know many people who enjoy nightcore unfortunately, but that shouldn't stop anyone from enjoying it :omg:k:

out of the four you shared here, california dreaming is my favorite for sure
it's amazing to know that people still make nightcore, though i must admit i haven't explored much beyond what i used to listen to. i should, though!

There's an artist on YouTube (does primarily game fan music, especially Five Nights At Freddy's) who has to upload nightcore versions of his own songs to prevent other people from doing it and getting views off his work. Also backwards versions are apparently a thing??

Anyway yeah some songs work in nightcore but most of the time it just kinda sounds like the chipmunks to me, lol.

I adore nightcore, I used to be super disgusted by it and hated it. Then I realized I only hated it because I didn't want to seem cringe, now I embrace it. I love the sped up nonsense songs.

do u mean daycore? :] idk i can't stand it-- nightcore was the stuff 2 me for such a long time that even the regular versions of songs are weird for me to listen to, so slowing them down even more makes me super uncomfrtable lol!! but recently i've been seeing a lot more of the "slowed + reverb" stuff?? idk if that is new, but it sure is to me!!

omg i loved nightcore as a kid BWAHAHA
everyone around me thought it was super cringe aside from my best friend, who was also really into it (we're still best friends today, nightcore just forms inseparable bonds)

I recently went back and collected a bunch of nightcore songs I used to like as a kid — some of them still hit tbh...
It's also cute to remember what I would imagine my OCs doing while listening to nightcore songs, I recently even found PMs on a forum I used to frequent where I wrote fanfiction with another girl and put nightcore songs at the beginning of the chapters (I didn't speak English so needless to say none of them fit the theme of the fanfiction in the slightest  I was going by vibes only!)

This is the nightcore playlist I mentioned! It's not all of them because some have gotten lost but I'm adding to it whenever I can think of one!

I loved nightcore back in the day, especially of SharaX songs and various other undertale related fansongs. I was big into dubstep so the nightcore thing was kind of a given lol

In a similar vein, I also listened to a lot of those TrapNation remixes with the terrible circle visualizer - this one being my favorite (although it doesn't have THE visualizer but you get the point lmao)

OMG THE SHARAX SONGS WENT CRAZY!!! I remember these BWAHAHA!!! Means girls and Dark Darker Yet Darker were my faves hehe..
I was also a huge fan of both undertale AND nightcore + dubstep bwahahah lots of overlap here and bruh , , , the trapnation circle remixes, , , this brought back some buried memories (need to go on a deep dive...)

I'm not embarrassed to say that I STILL like nightcore! I've also been getting into what others are calling daycore? Which is slowed instead of sped up, though most also seem to add some kind of reverb. Both versions give a new flavor to the songs I already love  . Nightcore to make it more exciting and daycore to make it more somber!


Part of the beauty of nightcore (even if some will call it a weakness), is that anyone can speed up a song ! I've even made a few myself!

As for the classics, that I still listen to regularly, here's a couple that weren't already posted!

And lastly, who could forget that the version of Caramelldansen we all know and love is actually nightcore!

I listened to Goodbye to a world back in the day too!! It wasn't my fave but I def remember liking it! BUT Megalotrousle I was really into!! (i still like that one it makes me feel so nostalgic...)
