My first time making a site!!! 100% New to HTML

Hello all 

I followed w3's HTML tutorial and followed along but by the end of it, it just... wasn't how I wanted it to look. I looked for some templates for inspiration and found one, then edited it to look more like how I wanted! The template is credited in my "Links" section of my site

Also, unfortunately, everyone who said that learning HTML is easy, must face my wrath, for it was not easy for me  Count your days!!!!!!

your site looks very nice so far! very clean and easy to read, and I love the personal touches like the space background and sea slugs (did not know there was an entire website for them so I will absolutely be looking at that later )

also, yeah, I tried to get into html on and off for literal years and it's only just now started to feel more natural. getting started is more accessible than ever thanks to stuff like templates and w3resources, and I know that's what people largely mean with "it's easy to get into"... but when you still need to look most things up - and sometimes not even know what you need to search to find an answer - it can still feel like you're tripping over things a ton!

like with a lot of things, I think it's just getting consistent practice. it's felt a lot easier to code now that I'm chipping away at a long-term project, compared to taking a slow-paced class after not touching it for years. fortunately, a personal website where you're free to do whatever you want, just as long as you can figure out how, is pretty great motivation to learn more!

That's a pretty decent website you built there! The space, the sea slugs 10/10 Love it. I feel you, HTML is not the same for everyone and it's not easy to understand if you don't know anything about it. While yes, it's def one of the easier ones, it doesn't mean anyone immediately learns it. It took me a few years to actually figure it out and how CSS and HTML function together. I constantly asked people for help (on another site/forum) and it just clicked one day. A lot of it is trying and messing around until it becomes quite fun to do.

Nice site! I'm also just getting started (dabbled in HTML / CSS a bit back in 2021 but didn't have the discipline to stick with it), and it's encouraging to see other beginners. Everything looks pretty sleek, loads fast and I like the blue color-scheme / slugs. I'm excited to see how it looks with more updates / content for the blog / media logs!
