my favorite animal has been a manatee ever since i found out about them honestly

they just look so stupid i love them i love manatees

My favorites are pigs! All members of the family are quite wonderful in their own ways, but I do have a soft spot for the old domestic sort. While I have no problem with eating the creatures, or those that do, I do feel like pigs are still quite underappreciated outside of what they can give...

Fun Fact: The domestic pig has the capabilities to recognize not only themselves and others as individual objects- as per the mirror test- but also differences in what they and fellow pigs are feeling. They will comfort other pigs they care about, even if they aren't personally distressed in the same moment.

MY TIME HAS COME!!! my favorite animal is inostranacevia alexandri ( if prehistoric animals count... )
they were a species of carnivorous therapsids part of the gorgonopsid family and they supposedly were like saber-toothed cats if they were more lizardlike-ish instead of catlike here's a  cast of skeleton of one from the museo delle scienze in trento, italy:

they had advanced dentition, mainly present in their saber-teeth ( which is why i say similar to saber-toothed cats! ) and a wide jaw angle which means they likely killed their prey mainly by biting down with terrific force! that's badass!!!

In spite of my username, It's not sloths. This is the second response in a row I'm giving about this animal, but Coelacanths are probably my favorite animals. They're the only ones where I get exited at them just being mentioned. They also look really cool and have an interesting history.

i feel like my answer would change depending on the day, but it's either between the red panda or wolves, and it's usually a toss-up between the two that i've kinda settled on both, lmao.

i luv luv luv kitties so much!!!! i luv all of them theyre so precious and dear to me, my kitty right now is a tortie and i'd love to get a hairless cat in the future :>

other critters i really like include hamsters, sea angels, and planarians!

It'd have to be either Whales or Crows. Both are extremely intelligent, Whales have been found to be one of the only other animals we know of that keep history. They sing songs and their songs represents history and what's happened to them and then alter the song to show the new history. Crows are also smart and you can befriend them fairly easily if they stop by your house, the only issue with them is they're social so if you're nice to one the whole murder may show up to greet you and then you have to be nice to them all rofl!
