I used to as a kid but it's been 15 years since I have! I remember the ones that used to multiply and crash your computer, I've been thinking of making Baldur's Gate 3 ones. I feel like I'd love an Astarion chibi running around my computer.

Dunno if it's allowed on neocities but would be a super cute thing to offer the fandom

I remember using a shimeji android app about a decade ago that had a bunch of different characters from popular games and anime at the time. I vividly remember Miku, Sans, and some Hetalia characters. I believe it had some characters from Black Butler and Attack on Titan too, but I haven't used it in a hot minute so don't quote me on that. According to my Google Play history it's still alive and well, but they've since removed the copyrighted characters (and the little mushroom guy app icon). I'm kinda sad there's people out there that will never experience its full 2015 glory.

I've also seen Desktop Mate around Vocaloid spaces. They have some game characters and a good selection of Vocaloid/SynthV/Cevio. $15 to let Miku stare at you seems a little steep imo but the free version's cute even if it's just the program's mascot.

I like...had a shimeji of the green Pippins from Deltarune on my Windows XP virtual machine. It was pretty great. He walked around and stared judgmentally at everything I did and when I ran Chuzzle he got trapped in the window before straight up dying on the floor in the middle of my game. I'm sorry, Battat.
