At present, I have a single Samsung ultrawide monitor at my home desk, a single 1440p monitor and a laptop stand at my dad's house, and an ultrawide + vertical monitor combo at work. I think I previously maxed out at 5, although that's counting some TV silliness. Honestly, I wish I could just work off a single 4:3 monitor, but with the amount of multitasking I do at work I just can't justify a restrictive setup :P

I do (well, monitor + laptops), it's useful for work where I have to keep Slack on the side just in case but tbh for daily use I don't think they are that useful, specially since I use a tiling WM with workspaces (i use arch btw and also hyprland btw)

Yep, I got two (technically three) with an ultrawide dell display and an asus 1080p 144hz main display. On top of that I have a drawing tablet that I rarely use but does have a screen and is on. It's a nice set up but since I updated my gpu I debate getting a high resolution main display since 7900xtx is a bit much for a 1080p display.

I have two, which is about the minimum I can function with at my day job. If I had unlimited money I'd really like to replace the vertical monitor with one of these, but it's definitely not in the cards.

I prefer to leave chat windows and other text heavy programs on the vertical monitor (discord, terminal, IDE etc) and use the main monitor for web browsing, videos, gaming and other multimedia when not working.

I just use one monitor!
I'd like to use two, so I could have messages open next to full screen games, but it would take up extra space, which I don't really have, since I filled my desk with random stuff.
I also only use my laptop monitor for work. I use my work laptop on my kitchen table, since it gives me a better view of the house, and better access to answering the door and stuff. I don't want to put a monitor on my kitchen table so I just use the laptop. It's kind of inconvenient if someone shares a screen that is very large or if an application is better sized for a larger screen. But well, when I go into the office and use larger monitors now, they feel way too big. My colleague on my new team told me recently that I use my work laptop in a flow that is more like an iPad or something, which I thought was quite interesting.

Currently at my home, I have two, and I'm kind of addicted to playing games/working on coding in one monitor, and having a video going on the other. Once you get used to that, it's hard to go back!

At work, I have THREE, but that's only because the person at my station before me had FOUR, and I had to remove one because that was just too many. I have no idea what they did with four of them, either, because they hardly every managed to get any work done. Three is nice, but I don't think it's necessary for 99% of the things I do.
