I keep having this dream where this exact (or something like this) dancing Mario gif is dancing in front of a brick wall but he is wearing a Chinese dragon head. I don’t know why I keep having this dream…

I used to have the "naked in public" dream pretty often. But after a while, whenever I found myself in it, I started thinking, "well, nobody's said anything yet, so I'm just going to go with the flow." After that it sort of stopped being an issue, and I felt a lot more comfortable with it.

One dream I do still have repeatedly is the one about being unable to walk. It's actually an element that shows up in several different scenarios, but I'll be dressed up to go out, and trying to make my way though work, shopping, a party, it's something different each time. But my feet and legs are always hurting and it becomes increasingly difficult to walk to wherever I'm going. My feet won't turn the right way, and my legs are twisted and won't move. I always find it a lot easier to crawl on my hands and knees in those dreams, but I find it embarrassing and I always try to avoid it. Usually, I end up breaking down just to get somewhere faster, and then I try to walk again normally once I'm closer to where I need to go, with varying results.

I do have a bit of a phobia about becoming immobile due to disabilities, which is probably something that will become more of a threat as I age, so that may be the source of it, but I'm not sure.

for a long while i would have frequent nightmares about someone breaking into my house :tnt:

they'd come to the door or the window and break in, and i would usually end up running out of my house and going as far as i could, hiding in shops and stuff. sometimes they'd attack me instead, but that was way less common. i also tried to attack them sometimes, but dream me is incredibly weak (arms are heavy to move, and they make basically no impact), so it never worked. the setting tended to change each dream, and sometimes it wasn't even my own house

the reason i had these nightmares was quite simple - i think i was slightly traumatised by an incident in which someone broke into our shed while i was in the room right next to it. they just stole some random stuff and it was ultimately alright, but it put me on edge. then i started having the nightmares and it turned into outright paranoia. it was difficult to even be downstairs in my own house. i'd hide from the windows and freeze in place for minutes upon end, being freaked out by any sound i heard outside

overtime the paranoia thankfully faded and disappeared, and i also don't have these nightmares anymore. win! :ha: but yeah, these are the only recurring dreams i can think of lol...

Most of the time, I have dreams about running with a pack of wolves. My dreams seemed episodic somehow, because it started with a dream where a squatter lived in an abandoned mansion with her many, many black wolves, and they all stared at me curiously while the woman talked to me about random subjects we were both interested in. The next dream after that was about me departing the mansion and traveling across some arctic badlands, and a pair of wolves came to me for help, and I was accepted as the first member of the pack. The next dream, the pack grew, and we were traveling across snowfields and mountains, and I was running on all fours like a wolf, as I should in my opinion. :p
The more recent dream, I was curled up asleep with a white wolf while the rest of the pack was out hunting on a warmer day.

Since this is relevant to my dreams, how about a bit of show and tell... When I was a teenager, I attempted a spell that would turn me into a werewolf, and I spent years of my life thinking I could physically shapeshift, so you could tell I had an existential crisis upon finding out I couldn't during one night of the full moon. Well, me and my partner saw what we thought was smoke coming out of someone's house while we were staring at the moon as he was comforting me, but that "smoke" stretched across the night sky, glowing a bright green color. (Auroras baybee! ^w^) I saw that as a sign from God that, even though my shapeshifting abilities are confined to my head, I should still live life as my true, authentic self; to quote Mebh from Wolfwalkers;
Quote
be a wolf!
And since therianthropic beliefs are a lot less stigmatized today than when I was a kid, that's what I did. I started calling myself "the real-life wolfwalker" ever since. ^^

I also decided to embrace these dreams and recently drew pictures of the wolves I saw in them, because they mean that much to me. Sometimes, I can't help but wonder if they're spirits of deceased family members guiding me through life.

I’ve had some recurring dreams but whats more common is recurring settings.

One of them is a maze like colorful house which has appeared in multiple dreams. Theres hundreds of rooms but the most important one is a pastel room with two stories that I’m always falling off of.

Another building that appears a lot is a school. I always recognize it as my school even though it’s clearly not. The layout is a giant circle with hallways leading out of it. I always get lost and end up in a giant wood room where there’s a diving board into a pool full of stuffed animals. Also outside the school is a park with like 50 baseball courts.

Theres also like part twos to my dreams sometimes but never when I want them to happen.

I get a lot of dreams about broken, overgrown teeth coming out of my mouth... it's like an even more gross version of the "teeth falling out" dream! It tastes horrible! I hate it! I used to get reoccurring dreams that were almost 100% identical, but I can't remember what any of them were...

oh boy, where do i even start...

one of my most common recurring dream topics is where i'm infiltrating a school as a student. sometimes, it's the high school i went to, sometimes it's an elementary school i don't recognize, but i somehow get away with it every time. you see, even though i'm in my late 20s, i physically still look like a teenager (and i could even pass for one after doing a clean-shave), so maybe these dreams are me yearning to experience youth once again

another involves my work, and it's customers giving me nonsensically bad feedback. like, 1-star reviews, accusing me of things i never did, or getting into fights in my inbox. sometimes they involve me neglecting to finish my work on time. every time i wake up from these, i check my notifications, just to be sure it really was a dream. they could be a manifestation of my biggest fear: disappointing people who are counting on me

and lately, there's been a common dream setting of my late grandma's house. she passed away years ago, and someone else lives in that house now, but i still have fond memories of her and her cute little abode where we spent many a family get-together, sleepover, and pizza dinner. it's been coming back in my dreams, as i've envisioned the presence of people, things, and events that never occurred over there in real life. am i subconsciously yearning to go back there again and live out more adventures? your guess is as good as mine
