Hello! im working in a film called Unbound, its a zombie apocalypse film! I am currently working on each episode, so I wanted to share my progress here! I keep all information about my film on discord, add me at oxi_wrld if you are interested in the story and want more information!! I will also be posting each chapter of the writing on here, but do keep in mind that it is not the best writing because it was written as a brain-dump type thing!
the film is going to be recorded in the perspective of one of the main characters, it's going to be set in the 2000s so I want the camera quality to look kinda old! I am also practicing SFX makeup and making soundtracks (posted in the discord)!

(Milo sitting in front of the TV in the living room, Eli sitting on the floor by Milo’s legs)
“Breaking news, a new virus has been found in humans. It is spreading around rapidly. Scientists and doctors are trying to figure out what the virus is and what caused it. No one knows how it started. Stay inside, avoid being around other people.” The news reporter said. Eli looks at Milo and smirks, “guess we can’t be around each other.” Milo smiles and playfully pushes him. “Shut up,” Milo starts, "I'm sure it’s not a big deal, viruses spread all the time and there's always a cure.” he reasons. Milo says, sitting down on the couch. Eli gets up and goes to his room. He comes back with two controllers and a computer. “Well, if we are quarantined, we might as well make it fun!” he exclaims, tossing one of the controllers and the laptop to Milo. “Why the laptop? I have an xbox.” Milo asks, confused. Eli shakes his head, “I got it so you can work on your music.” Eli giggles. Milo facepalms, “no, i will not let you hear my music.” Eli crosses his arms, giving Milo attitude. Milo sits up, moving the laptop to a table. Eli sits down right next to Milo. They start playing the game on xbox, eventually falling asleep there.
A couple days later…
“Milooo…” Eli calls, stretching out his words, “I'm bored.” Milo sits up from his bed. “Wanna go out to eat? Or go shopping around?” He asks, facing Eli. Eli nods. They both get up and head to the car. Milo starts driving, but he notices that there are no cars on the road. “Weird,” Milo starts. Eli looks at him and tilts his head, waiting for Milo to speak. “Theres no one on the road. That’s odd.” Milo mumbles. “You know what that means,” Eli starts, laughing, “step on it.” Milo looks at him and smiles. He faces forward and starts speeding down the road, blasting music.
They stop at a few restaurants and stores, but everything is closed. “Someone’s taking this virus way too seriously.” Eli mumbles. Milo chuckles and looks around, trying to find anyone so he can ask what is going on. Milo sees someone and eagerly goes up to them. “Hello, excuse me, i was wondering-” Milo is cut off by the person jumping at them, knocking him down on the floor. Eli rushes over and pulls the person off of him. The person’s skin was pale and cold, almost blueish. Their skin looked old and ragged, and their eyes had a white coat over them. Eli looks disgusted, throwing the person to the side and picking Milo up. Milo gets up and rushes to the car, immediately driving away when Eli gets in the car. Milo speeds home, both boys freaking out. “What the fuck. What the fuck. What the fuck was that?!” Milo says in a panic. Eli goes quiet, confused and shaken up. The boys run into the house, Milo locks the door. Eli looks at Milo, trying to read his emotions. Milo was shaking and dissociating, trying to process what just happened. Eli pulls him into a hug. “I don’t know what that was but… let's just try to relax. It was probably like, some homeless guy, or something…” Eli trails off, not really believing what he said. Milo nods, “yeah. Maybe.”
A few hours later, the two boys seemed better. They were smiling and joking around with each other. “I know I don't tell you this much, but I really do appreciate you. Thank you for being there for me, especially when I make stupid decisions.” Milo says gently to Eli. Eli stares at Milo with a confused face. “I’m only here because you feed me,” Eli laughs. “Im kidding.” Eli stops laughing, his emotions slowly turning anxious. “I don’t know how to show that I appreciate you telling me that, but even though I can’t show it, please know that I do care about you. I just… have a hard time.” Eli explains, avoiding eye contact. Milo pulls him into a hug. “I know. I’ve known you for years, Eli. I understand, I know you care.” Eli looks at Milo and smiles.
Suddenly, there are sounds coming from outside the house. The boys quiet down, trying to figure out what the sound is. They hear groaning outside, but not just from one person, from many. They jump out of bed and hurry to the living room window. When they see the living-dead people trying to get in, Milo backs away immediately. “Eli, go get a bag and pack only the useful things that we need. I’m gonna do the same.” Milo says in a hushed voice. As the boys spoke, the creatures outside got more aggressive. The two quickly packed a bag and hurried to the basement. At that moment, the front door gave in from the weight of the zombies. Milo starts looking around the basement. He finds a crowbar, and he uses it to open the window in the basement that connects to the outside. He lifts Eli and gets him out first, then he pulls himself up and crawls through. Eli and Milo start running. “Keep up. We are going to Alexis’s house. She’s the closest house to us.” Milo rushes, Eli nods and keeps up with Milo.
As soon as Milo and Eli step on Alexis’s doorstep, the door immediately swings open. The two boys are rushed in. Milo frantically tries to explain to Alexis what just happened, but Alexis shushes him and drags the two down to the basement. The walls were lined with sound proof materials, and there were piles of canned food and water jugs. “They react more when there is sound,” Alexis states while barricading the basement door. “What are they? What is happening? What-” Alexis cuts Milo off, saying, "they're people. Well, they were people. They got infected by that virus going around.” Milo stares at her in disbelief. “What?” He stammers, starting to crash from the adrenaline. Milo takes a deep breath. Eli goes to the water and drinks from a jug. Milo looks at Alexis, then looks around. “Where’s your mom?” Alexis clams up, “she…” Alexis starts. “She’s dead. She… got bit by one of those things. She was getting torn apart. She told me to run, so I did. That’s why I know some things about these zombies.” Milo looks at her, tears starting to form in both of their eyes. “She was a nice lady, she gave Eli and me a place to stay when we got kicked out. That's how we met you.” Milo murmurs, looking down. Alexis nods, and walks away from Milo. “Anyways,” Alexis changes the subject, “Let’s rest up. It’s dark now, so we should get some rest.” Milo sighs and goes to Eli, laying down next to him. Eli puts his hand on Milo’s hair to comfort him. All of them fall asleep that night, but they wake up the next morning to a blood-curdling scream from outside.

hey!! I updated this first chapter due to complications with the actors, so I hope everyone enjoys this new (and improved) version!!

Setting: Milo and T. sitting in T.’s room, T. is sitting on the floor while Milo is on the bed
“Milooo…” T. calls, stretching out his words, “I'm bored.” Milo sits up from his bed. “Wanna go out to eat? Or go shopping around?” He asks, facing T.. T. nods. They both get up and head to the front door. “Mom,” Milo calls out. “We will be back, we are going shopping.”

“Wait!” Milo’s mom calls out, hurrying to the hall to stop them. “I was watching the news and they are claiming there is a new virus, I don't think it is a good idea to go out.” Milo looks at her, confused. “What kind of virus?” he questions. She shrugs, "I don't know, they just said it’s highly contagious and they are researching it.” Milo puts his hand on his mom’s shoulder. “We will be okay, we are just gonna go shopping. Nothing is going to happen, I promise.” Milo gives his mom a quick smile before heading out of the door with T..

Milo starts driving, but he notices that there are no cars on the road. “Weird,” Milo starts. T. looks at him and tilts his head, waiting for Milo to speak. “Theres no one on the road. That’s odd.” Milo mumbles. T. shrugs, “more for us.” he says quietly while looking around.

They stop at a few restaurants and stores, but everything is closed. “Someone’s taking this virus way too seriously.” T. mumbles. Milo chuckles and looks around, trying to find anyone so he can ask what is going on. Milo sees someone and eagerly goes up to them as T. tries to grab his arm to stop him.

“Hello, excuse me, i was wondering-” Milo is cut off by the person jumping at them, knocking him down on the floor. T. rushes over and pulls the person off of him. The person’s skin was pale and cold, almost blueish. Their skin looked old and ragged, and their eyes had a white coat over them. T. looks disgusted, throwing the person to the side and helping Milo get up. Milo gets up and rushes to the car, immediately driving away when T. gets in the car. Milo speeds home, both boys freaking out.

T. bursts through the door and runs to Milo’s mom, trying to explain to her what he saw. “I'm scared. There was this guy, this thing, I don't know, but it, he, jumped at milo and his face was dirty and he looked pale and,” Milo’s mom cut off T., “T., did you take your meds today?” T. shuts down and storms off to Milo’s room, freaked out. “Mom…” Milo says, shaken up. “He's not having an episode or anything, it happened. That… thing… it tried to bite me. It knocked me to the ground and…” he trails off, zoning out. “Honey, it was probably just some homeless guy. That’s why I don't like for you guys to go out alone.” She puts her hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort him. “Yeah…” Milo starts, “Maybe. I think I'm gonna take T. to my place, y’know, change of scenery.” Milo’s mom nods and heads back to her room.

A few hours later, the two boys seemed better. They were smiling and joking around with each other. “Thank you for saving me back there.” Milo says, smiling at T.. T. stares at Milo in silence. “Sorry,” Milo says quietly. “Didnt mean to make this weird.” T. shakes his head, “No,” he starts. “Sorry, I just, y’know, struggle with… this stuff.” T. says shyly. Milo nods. “I know, it's okay. I just wanted to tell you that.” Milo gives T. a short smile. T. looks down, feeling guilty.

Suddenly, there are sounds coming from outside the house. The boys quiet down, trying to figure out what the sound is. They jump out of bed and hurry to the living room window. When they see the living-dead people trying to get in, Milo backs away immediately. “Mom?” Milo yells out, but she doesn’t respond. Milo runs around the house looking for his mom, but she is nowhere to be seen.

“T., go get your adventure bag and another bag to pack only the useful things that we need, like food and water. I’m gonna do the same.” Milo says in a hushed voice. “I… I don't understand. What is happening?” T. says in a shaky voice.

As the boys spoke, the creatures outside got more aggressive. The two quickly packed a bag and hurried to the window in Milo’s room. In that moment, the front door to the house gave in from the weight of the zombies, causing a huge crashing sound. Milo opens the window and forces T. to step out first, then he brings himself out. T. and Milo start running. “We are going to Alexis’s house. She’s the closest house to us.” Milo rushes, T. nods and keeps up with Milo.

As soon as Milo and T. step on Alexis’s doorstep, the door immediately swings open. The two boys are rushed in. Milo frantically tries to explain to Alexis what just happened, but Alexis shushes him and drags the two to her kitchen. The windows were boarded up and the door to the kitchen was covered by a bookshelf. There were piles of canned food and water jugs, and a few pocket knives on the ground.

“They react more when there is sound,” Alexis whispers while barricading the door. “What are they? What is happening? What-” Alexis cuts Milo off, saying, "they're people. Well, they were people. They got infected by that virus going around.” Milo stares at her in disbelief. “What?” He stammers, starting to crash from the adrenaline. Milo takes a deep breath. T. goes to the water and drinks from a jug. “She was a nice lady. I’m sorry.” Alexis nods. “And yours?” Alexis asks. “I… I don't know. I looked for her everywhere, called for her, but… nothing.” Milo says with a cracking voice, holding back tears. Alexis sighs and holds him tighter. “It’s okay. You need to stay alive for her.” Milo nods and breaks the hug, sitting next to T.. T. looks at Milo, sympathetically. “Sleep?” T. asks. “I can try, but I don't know if I can. I'm worried, I'm worried about my mom and I'm worried about those… things. They might come in here, they might-” Milo is cut off by T., “I will stay up. I will stay up, I will watch, and I will wake you if we need to go, okay?” T. reassures. Milo looks at him for a second and then nods, slowly laying down on the floor.

Milo and Alexis fall asleep that night, but they wake up the next morning to a blood-curdling scream from outside.
