I'll tag on to this older thread for anyone reading to just mention that it is workable with WINE on linux. I'm specifically using Linux Mint Debian Edition (Mint being an easier switchover from Windows, the Debian counterpart needing fewer frequent upgrades and being open-source iirc).

There are some quirks that arise (no crashing though), and I need to log onto the website on my browser to add custom materials to my account, but beyond that no issues whatsoever. The only thing I'll add is that even if you have an ancient license that you never upgraded I believe CSP has limited machines you can use the license on before you run out. Which SUCKSSSS big time.

Its also easy enough to just fish through your windows install if you set up a dual boot and open .CSP files or whatever they are in the programme on Linux :)

If I weren't already so well acquainted with CSP I'd probably hop to Krita because boooo stinky monetization scheme, but alas. Maybe in the future!

not being able to work with the materials is what was messing with me!! i've been getting on with krita okay but i'm missing the additional functions of csp. i think i had issues connecting to the csp servers when i tried, beyond activating my license. how does navigating this through a browser work - do the materials just auto queue into the download tab?

Basically, I open the launcher and log in, which at least for me works alright. Then I go to the asset store on my browser: https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us and yeah, when I add them they download seamlessly in the application like they would in windows on CSP. I can see the downloads happening in the DL section and everything! Then when I open my canvas I can drag and drop them to the locations I wish!

So yeah, the launcher is still bug-ridden, but if it works the same for you as it does for me, it functionally makes using CSP still worth it and just as powerful, more or less.

Of course, if your luck with Linux is anything like mine, what works for some people might not work for you for some niche unknown reason. So my fingers are crossed for you!!!
