hi everyone!!! so in an attempt to make more zines, i decided to start a weekly zine jam if anyone wants to join me :]

i feel like zines are very much on par with old web and current theme (this week's theme) is internet! here you can see how to fold a zine!

Hello weekly zine jam! I've been wanting to join but have been having a hard time following, I have a slight proposition... have you considered perhaps making this into a Guild? That way you can turn each theme into a Guild Event! You could also sort each theme to a dedicated thread where people can submit their zines under.
Anyway, I shall catch you all for the next zine theme

Oh wow, the entries in this series to date are quite impressive, intimidatingly so! I love how many creatives are tapped into the indie web!

I got my hands on some horse stickers and colourful paper recently, maybe I'll make a crack at it in the near future. Really makes me wish that my local friend's zine club took off!

That said, a digital zine might be better-suited for my skillset as an artist lol. We will see!

Also reminds me that AUDIO zines are a thing. I was obsessed with this one that was half-punk album, half spoken word submissions from friends of the band. ...I even have some blank cassettes and everything... oh my oh my...

Wow I love the idea of an audio zine!!!! So cool!

Right? Really lends itself well to a collaborative format too >:)

All someone needs is audacity (which is free!), maybe a device that can record audio (but even then not necessarily) and they're off to the races! 

Poetry, small essays about how someone loves their friends, a spoken word art installation, a rant about some pet peeve, knowledge sharing (there's a cool one by Pat the Bunny on how to mixtape philosophy, etc. Free game!

Found a cool audio zine-adjacent project when broswing gopherspace (super secret non-https internet) that's also on bandcamp by this artist named b4udw3rk5:

Going from payphone to payphone to make the recordings for the medium of a former self 'being left behind' was a fun decision.
