My favorite HTML tag is the humble <article> because I'm a big fan of semantic elements. Other than tinkering with the design of my webpage, I really enjoy making digital art and knitting. But both are very time-consuming, so I don't have a lot to show for it yet.

I am making animation movie so would be glad to find someone to chat about making an obsessive project! Also I like weird art and naive art, though I am tryhard now because I decided to draw every frame on paper and use some cut out technics and optical illusions of my own.

Hi, I'm Grzesiek11, a 21 year old guy (he/him) from Poland who likes computers, rhythm games and vocaloid music. I figured people deserve to know as much as the admins, so this is mostly an adapted version of the bio I submitted with my registration here lol.

I am not really an artist, unless you count programming as art - my projects (that aren't unfinished experiments or ones that didn't work out at all) are libre software and available at https://git.stary.pc.pl/Grzesiek11.

I advocate for libre software, information freedom, decentralization of the internet and related ideas. That almost obviously means I use Linux (almost, since it could also mean, with a lesser probability, that I use some BSD or some random OS like Haiku), specifically Debian (usually the Unstable kind). And no, it's not GNU/Linux.

I host a server called starypc (the website is outdated, beware). The name literally means "old PC" in Polish, because it was initally just my previous machine. It lives under my desk and offers services for myself, my friends, and some to strangers (for example staryvids, a video hosting service based on PeerTube - it is the third largest PeerTube instance in Poland, according to Polish Wikipedia! Such fame...!).

It also hosts my personal site, <https://grzesiek11.stary.pc.pl/en>, though it's currently not much more than just contact info... I've been meaning to add a blog and some pages there for a while, but since I'd like to run it on my own software, I tend to put it off. Generally, I do like putting things off, and I do not like that I like doing that.

I'm also interested in media preservation, primarily Minecraft (I'm part of Omniarchive) and music.

I like and sometimes edit wikis, especially the Minecraft Wiki.

I've was using forums back in the day, and I recently gave the VocaVerse forum a try as a way to keep up with the community without using Twitter (which has a bad effect on my mental wellbeing). The Melonland Forum was recommended to me by GlitchyZoura, and after a few months of hesitation whether it's a good place for me, I just decided to give it a try and see.

Uhh, what else, some random stuff I guess. I like cats and pizza, for very different reasons. My favorite HTML tag? I guess <form>, it can be used to implement absurdly complex logic (with the server's help) with no clientside programming (JavaScript et all). Is doing so a good idea? Not necessarily. But it can be done and it's fun.

What a funny coincidence. A very close friend of mine who is Polish was inspired by me to make their own website, and only today I told them about the forum, and that they might like the vibes of this place.
