i'd like to start this topic as a place for people to submit their dreams!

generally, your first dream you remember and your last dream you remember, and whatever discussion comes of that

eventually i'd like to make my own forum with types of dreams seperated into different topics to be able to discover different findings. i want a public dream journal! but i'll start here

First dream we remember: I was at a park (that did really exist) and behind it was a ... a place, now i forget what, with a big lawn and a statue with a path running around it. No idea when that was, or if there was anyone else in the dream.

Last dream we remember: We were reading a book called Margaret by Douglas Adams, while also... i guess living the book, because this was a dream. It followed a woman named Margaret and a few of her friends on vacation to a strange city, and it was like a cross in genre between Choose Your Own Adventure and Myst (the book from the game). The reader could choose what parts of the city Margaret got to see on her vacation, and the book was mostly just descriptions of places and events without any plot. The path i remember is one about Flocks: things like a cross between a kite and a strandbeest, woven from brightly colored yarn, and several stories tall. These yarn sculptures would stand up and move in the wind, and some were even big and strong enough to carry people and cars around the city. Margaret took a car carried by one to a museam where there was information about the history of Flocks, including how their inventor wanted to create a language around them that was not spoken and only written with strings. It was hard to understand because there was nothing written in English, it was all either the string language or pictures. We'd like to actually write a book based on this dream.

alright then, let's see what my dream journal has to say:

first dream i remember: i imagined i was playing Overwatch, as Tracer. and in the spawn rooms were showers... that you could use. i didn't use them, because unlike... some Overwatch fans, i didn't want to see Tracer naked. what i remember from this experience was waking up the next morning to mum telling me to shower and get ready, and groggily saying, "well, that's weird, because Tracer's a girl..." you can imagine her confusion before i explained myself

latest dream i remember: at my late grandma's house, the cousins and i were playing a board game... except everyone else was on their phones except for me. i lamented out loud that i was the only one who cared enough about our game session to not have my phone with me, and everyone else got upset at me. this isn't the first time i've had a dream where my family is angry at me, or i'm angry at them, and unfortunately, i don't foresee it being the last

First dream I remember: I was in the living room, running happily towards my father and he put his hands out like he was about to catch me, then suddenly a car drove into the house and tried to run me over. Then for a while I kept having reoccuring dreams of cars appearing in my house & trying to Get Me.

Last dream I remember: I was on a walk with my mother and had to go to the grocery store alone for some reason, but the inside of the store turned into a grey office space, seemingly a lot bigger than it should normally be, with a huge screen on the wall opposite of the entrance. I walked around the building trying to find the store but somehow ended up back at the entrance, except now the doors have disappeared and everyone got trapped inside. Everyone got their phones out and started calling other people, and as it turned out all over the world people suddely started getting trapped inside of buildings without any doors. Someone video called the owner of this specific office and put it on the huge screen on one of the walls. The owner just stood there for a while, and then his body started twitching in strange ways and the background switched to a freshly dug grave. The owner looked directly at the camera and said, without any emotion, that he's dead. That freaked me out so bad I woke up

(I feel like this dream was somewhat inspired by the backrooms movie and that one episode of the magnus archives where the person making the statement got a call saying "come quickly, we've taken ill, we've passed away"... But idk, that's just my theory. Not like I can ask my subconscious where it takes its inspiration from lol)

Most of the time I have dreams where I'm just travelling with my parents and nothing worth remembering happens and then once in a while I get a dream where I'm trapped in maze-like buildings that shift and change as I explore them. Honestly wish I had more dreams like this? Yes they usually wake me up with a yelp at like 3am but at least they're interesting

Also a forum for dreams sound like a cool idea!

I've been trying to maintain a dream journal, but I'm not very good at it! I dream a lot, sometimes up to like, 3 dreams a night, so it's really hard to remember everything.

Because I dream so much and I'm bad at time relativity, I have no clue what if the first dream I remember. But my latest dream was the third one last night
I was with one of my sisters, in a mall. We were looking for a place to eat. We found one, but decided to leave, because the signage was AI generated. I remember spending a lot of time looking at it because in my dream I knew for a fact they were AI generated, but my brain generated like, normal images. We left, but got free poutine?

However, I think it's more interesting to look into what element are most reoccuring in my dreams!
Of course, this changes over time, depending on where I am in my life and what I am around most of the day. Read below!

PEOPLE: I often dream of my family, and my pets. I've had many dreams where I end up with multiple of the same cat, and have to figure out which one is the real one. Surprisingly, despite spending most of my days for the last 10 years with my boyfriend, I very rarely dream of him?

LOCATIONS: Lately it's slowed down, but I used to dream about school a LOT. I'd usually have dreams about attending high school or college, or visiting my primary school. Sometimes, my primary and high school merges, but college rarely does.
As for houses, I've havent visited my childhood home in a good long while. Much more often, I'll dream about either of my grandma's houses, or sometimes my boyfriend's parent's old home (like when we started dating). Occasionally, I'll dream about an apartment I never lived in, or my condo but with weird corridors, and rarely my uncle's house. I also dream about elevators semi regularly. I often visit my childhood neighbourhood, the subway (which can turn into a mall), the supermarket and the woods. OH and I dream about being in minecraft / other games quite a bit as well

EVENTS: Whenever I dream about driving a car, the brakes never work. I've dreamed multiple times about public toilets having problems with their doors. Most of my dreams are actually fantastical, where I go on grand adventures. Im not always myself in my dreams. I used to dream about having to pack up and leave so often, nowadays its pretty rare. this is all fascinating

i'm so intrigued and curious about the world of dreams and what makes them

i've pieced together different aspects of dreams and kinds of dreams and discovered there's realms where dreams behave differently...
through repeated reality checks of looking at my hands and looking through mirrors!


i've noticed that i can tell what kind of dream i am in by looking at my hands and seeing how many fingers i have...

what is most fascinating to me is that in nightmares dreams are most stable and convincing.

in "higher" realm dreams where one could fly it is likely to be unstable. i've felt my limbs spin around in unnatural ways before... fingers and bones fading in and out...

a dream tip! is that spinning in a circle will stabilize your dream, though can easily cause you to lose lucidity.  or at least, very often i spin in a circle and go farther down into a more stable realm, but then the dream tries to trick me into thinking i am awake so they can continue to guide me through the dream.

I will make a Dream Guild soon I think! Whenever I reach enough poster status to be able to create one

I still have my dream journals from middle school and high school somewhere. I should try to look for them.

A couple of summers ago I had this dream where a specific song would play and after a while I learned to tell that I was in a dream if I heard that song and then I could start doing and creating whatever I wanted without feeling any stress of perceived reality. I guess that's the closest I ever got to routinely lucid dreaming. But then I would hear the song on the radio or in the wild sometimes and it would freak me out. I had to pinch my hand to make sure.

First I remember: uuhh I remember several of my dreams from when I was little and I don't remember which one was the first, so I'll just pick one. I was really little when I had this dream, it was me at a brightly sunset-colored theme park wanting to go on one of the rides, but I think I kept getting blocked off by this group of older kids. Eventually, I managed to get on the ride, but then one of the kids picked me up, stretched out his arms to take me way high up in the sky, and threw me onto the ground :(

Last I remember: This one happened just the other night, and it's about this very site! Well, specifically the Everyone site. In the dream, a new rule was added that every page created needed to be food-themed, so I designed a little cookbook widget to navigate through each page! I don't have the skill to make this widget fully functional, but here's a sketched mockup :>
