hello everyone!

hello!!! i'm lars. i've been into web revival on the sidelines as an observer and appreciator, but i've recently been dipping my toe into web design again. and it's super fun! my website is almost at a stage where i feel comfortable publishing it, but i don't have it up live yet.

beyond the old internet and artsy websites, i'm mainly into art and music. i can't make music for the life of me, but i love making art in a BUNCH of different mediums. i'm mostly self taught but i take classes when i'm not just chained to my job... right now i'm working on an animation for my webcomic (the first animation i've made in years lol) but i'm planning on throwing myself into working on my site after that. if you want to read the comic i've got the button slapped down in my sig, but the site itself needs a bit of work still - focus on the meat and potatoes for now if you sneak a peak lol.

i have a bunch of other random interests as well, like some games, movies, and some random niche things. i know way too much about the matrix franchise in specific....

i've only been an (semi)active member of one other forum community after YEARS of not being in anything other than social media cesspools, so i'm excited to be here in a web revival community! the only reason i haven't posted an intro yet is bc i keep logging in on mondays LOL

I'm always amazed by people who can make music, or those who even try, so I think it's so cool that you do that! It's the one creative avenue I'm too scared to try myself...  But I wish you lots of luck with you animation! I know that sort of thing can be tough, or at least it was for me. I can't currently see your signature due to using the newspaper theme so I can't check out your comic, but I'd love for you to link to it in a reply?

Also! I recently watched the Matrix films for the first time and WOW! They were so much fun! What other movies do you enjoy?

hiii! thank you for the welcome, i really appreciate it! sorry if it wasn't clear, i can't make music at all, i wish i could though... i love talking about it though haha. and thank you for wishing me well on the animation! i'm so close but the deadline is at the end of the week so im crunchinggg it

oooh this list could go on forever, but i really like experimental stuff... but i think my favorite movies/franchises of all time right now have been paprika, everything everywhere all at once, moonrise kingdom (although i like a lot of wes anderson stuff in general), really anything by guillermo del toro (my first film from him was the shape of water - recommend sooo much ). this list could go on forever, but beyond that just some short films and cliche classics. i just watched an anime anthology called robot carnival and i loved it.

i've also been on a horror movie kick lately because tis the season and i looove the scream movies & hellraiser the most this year, for completely different reasons lol (other than both of them having that cheesy-ness factor). i still have a lot of classics i need to check out!!! but i've been more preoccupied with the game silent hill 2 this year...
