DOOM WADS

Now that I'm returning to the forum I thought I'd drop in with an update! I've since learned how to make WADS and I'm thinking of uploading some of my stinkers in the next little while somewhere. Probably DOOMWORLD but also maybe a section of my own site? I'm not quite sure yet but I wanna have them somewhere people can stumble across them if they aren't seeking them out on DOOMWORLD

Yeah I think putting them up on your website is a great way to do that. I should probably post some of my stuff up on one of my websites too... I haven't really made any doom wads that I'm proud of recently though. I've made some Legacy of Rust stuff but I never got anywhere with them so far other than the start.

Hey guys, I was thinking of making a DooM Map for Halloween, but that got me thinking.

We should have like... a Halloween Mapfest or something.   I'd say there should be a contest but that sounds like too much work   

Is there enough people who would want to do that? I've already got the start of my map done. Is there enough time?

I don't have the time to churn out anything decent I think but I'd be so up for organizing one for next year or even in the future if that's something anyone would like!!!

It's okay... I didn't even get the map out on time for Halloween lol.
I DID finish it just now though... it's pretty sick.

OOPS edit because I almost forgot to explain what you need to play it.
It's a UDMF map, so use GZDoom (not sure if regular ZDoom works but try if you want and I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work)
Also, it's using Legacy of Rust resources but not the weapons. So, just load id1-res.wad with it and not id1.wad or id1-weaps.wad

No jumping nor crouching but I didn't disable them because I'm not the kind of person to disallow you from cheating :]

Recommended settings include:
Doom Software Renderer (NO truecolor!) (but these are just the recommended settings anyways so IG you don't have to listen...)
No Freelook
Comp Level set to Doom strict (although I'm not sure if setting it to just Doom matters all too much?)

Yes, this level probably shouldn't have been a UDMF map, but there are two reasons why it ended up being one anyways and they're pretty cool so I'm not all too upset about it.

co-op but you can play as 60+ characters from other games and many of the creators' ocs. made by the guy behind pizza tower and his friends
someone about that community reminds me a lot of the one i grew up in
