I'm 35 and have just been frantically learning for the last, like, five years. I say frantically learning, but really it's just trying to make a game, suffering from way too high expectations for myself, and collapsing into depression for a while. But I'm doing... Well I call it a game jam, but it's really just me deciding to get a world editor up and running through Godot Engine so I can show it to my family at christmas. And then I'll gradually turn it into a game over time. I figure it's never too late. Even if you missed the boat, there are other boats.
But this level looks really cool! Especially made with Trenchbroom, I really struggled with imagination in that toolkit. I like the textures being big and clear. It doesn't need to be realistic, I can tell exactly what everything is! And that wall jumping mechanic was cool!
