I'm surprised he can hear it when they're in your ears - maybe try playing them on speakers so he can get used to it? :P

I thought I'd seem more sophisticated and intelligent than "other people my age" if I didn't listen to pop but to "the classics."

I went through the same thing when I was younger lol! I still like the Beatles somewhat but I've found my own niche that I enjoy.

Buy him an Android phone and hack it so he has an alarm at 5:00 each morning with Revolution Number Nine playing on full volume and he can't turn it off.

(Honestly, I don't really like classic rock at all---in fact, far from it---but I can understand the Beatles' impact and I think they've really done a lot for music.)

In all honesty, that would probably be the most reasonable approach in this situation. It is good to get to know why people feel the ways that they do about different subjects, especially ones that illicit a strong emotion from them, so as to be sensitive to their experience(s)...However, to give a silly reply to this thread:

Play some music by the band Klaatu. If he starts getting mad, tell him, "But it's NOT The Beatles!"

My dad was also never a fan of them but not to the point it got angry or couldn't listen to it though. Then again that is how he felt about most of the music I was into.

years ago I had a massive Beatles phase. They were all I ever listened to

They're a great band, very influential don't get me wrong. But I feel like if they're your absolute favourite you probably haven't been exposed to much music. Don't be afraid to explore, just make sure it's at your own pace and on your own terms

Trust me, you will eventually find other things
Some of my favourites right now that are a lot like the Beatles are The Lemon Twigs, XTC, The Divine Comedy, The Zombies, The Grassroots. There's a lot out there

Also, don't take it personally. Dads always hate any of the music you love. and he's also probably trying to mess with you a bit

A year later and I simply underestimated how strongly Beatlemania would have its hold on me.. My dad's vehement disdain for them should have served as a WARNING to me.  For awhile it was strictly surface level and casual enjoyment with a few songs here and there. ...it's built up to downright infatuation with these quirked up white liverpool boys. I watched Yellow Submarine a few years ago, and I only knew those select few Beatles songs, and then last year I played Beatles pinball and fell in love with all of the songs from Hard Day's Night, and it just kept snowballing from there 
I now know more obscure facts and stories about them than most longtime fans I've met, even more than the few I've talked to who have been listening to them before I was born.
I have several playlists dedicated to their songs and have sought out documentaries and videos of them for solace while I was struck with bedridden nausea for a week, listening to them to nurse myself back to health..  it's gotten to the point where, with certain friends, see me as the designated "fruity beatles guy".
I'VE EVEN BEEN GIFTED BEATLES MEMORABILIA, ITS GONE TOO FAR 
This came so out of left field for me since this stuff is nothing like what I usually listen to in my free time but I can't go a day without listening to at least one song of theirs... I should have listened.  Heed my story and proceed any beatles albums with caution
