X3D - an option for 3D webpages that doesn't require javascript knowledge! you can make worlds like this one!! (ok this page isn't new but i gave it a lil update)
i am a total newbie to these topics, but i'm adding things to the wiki as i learn about them! wisdom-havers, please share your knowledge! do you have any tips or tricks for using your favorite tools? fellow newbies, what topics/resources/guides would be helpful for you? let's figure it out together!
How about the OHR RPG engine? That's what Formless Star by splendidland is made in - I found it to be a really impressive free RPG engine with a lot more coding versatility than RPG Maker. Not a whole lot of games made with it but I think the engine is really impressive, despite the very old UI. I would add it to the wiki myself but I wanted to know if there'd be any interest first, and I'd love to see more people use it!
There's a game engine I've used quite a bit called GDevelop that's great for making 2D games pretty quickly and easily. I've made a few games up on my Itch page using it, and I've even used it for some library programs where we try to make a working prototype in about an hour. It's a pretty fun engine. It might be worth putting on the 2D engine list? https://gdevelop.io/
i've played with coppercube, which is a 3d engine that doesn't really need coding (but if you wanna do something that's not part of the engine you can use javascript too ) it does have a paid version but most of the features are free & you can sell games made with the free version if you wanna haven't figured out how to get a third person camera that works well tho lol
