there are a few other new game/world pages that aren't linked from the main page of the wiki:

• Blender - powerful free and open 3D software
• Three.js - javascript library for 3D webpages; Ozwomp Is Online uses three.js!
• X3D - an option for 3D webpages that doesn't require javascript knowledge! you can make worlds like this one!!
  (ok this page isn't new but i gave it a lil update)

i am a total newbie to these topics, but i'm adding things to the wiki as i learn about them!

How about the OHR RPG engine? That's what Formless Star by splendidland is made in - I found it to be a really impressive free RPG engine with a lot more coding versatility than RPG Maker. Not a whole lot of games made with it but I think the engine is really impressive, despite the very old UI. I would add it to the wiki myself but I wanted to know if there'd be any interest first, and I'd love to see more people use it!

it's already on the 2D game engine list, right above RPG maker! i haven't tried it myself yet, but i'm really interested! i love formless star

There's a game engine I've used quite a bit called GDevelop that's great for making 2D games pretty quickly and easily. I've made a few games up on my Itch page using it, and I've even used it for some library programs where we try to make a working prototype in about an hour. It's a pretty fun engine. It might be worth putting on the 2D engine list?
