what's the specs of it btw? i'd like to know
Iv been using it for a few hours now while setting up my software and it really is a charming size! The keyboard is perfect, the screen is lovely and square and it all feels very cozy and inviting ~ if they made a new computer like this I would totally get one :omg:

Lets see specs:
1GHz G4 processor (single core)
1.25 GBs of DDR ram
128GB SSD (I used a SATA M.2 to laptop IDE adapter - the whole upgrade cost 20 euro)
GeForce FX Go5200 GPU - The screen is 12-inch at 1024x768 ~ it only has 32MB video ram (this is a tad low)

PORTS:
1x Phone Jack (not very useful anymore)
1x Ethernet Port
1x FireWire 400 Port
2x USB 2.0 Ports
1x Mini DVI port
1x Headphone jack
1x Microphone jack
1x DVD drive (broken)
Its also got a WiFi card and it still connects to my modern wifi although its a bit slow for downloads.

Its running MacOS 10.4 (Tiger ~ 2005) ~ it could run 10.5 (Leopard ~ 2007) but that looses Classic mode for older apps. Originally it would have come with 10.2 and I did try to install that but all the installers I found refused to boot.

I have an iMac G4! Unfortunately I haven't gotten it working, though, like my iMac G3. One day, though! For now they're both just decor, though--these computers serve two purposes! I miss pretty computers :(

For some reason the harddrive had Windows Vista installed, even though that cant run on a G5 (I suppose it was transplanted but never reinstalled?). I was able to open its system files and an iTunes library was still on it, so I got a bunch of free MP3s  :seal:

Actually, that would be an early Intel iMac! The first year of Intel iMacs had the same design as the G5 but could dual-boot OS X with XP, or later Vista. I have one myself dual-booted with XP and it's quite a good XP machine! They can also run up to Snow Leopard or Lion depending on what time of the year they were released.

They are very similar, but you can see in the picture it actually says "PowerPC G5" for the processor  I would not dane to sully the G4 Club thread with Intel grunge :omg:

It is weird that it had a Vista HDD though, but it definitely could not boot it - this one is actually an Early G5, you can identify it by the fact that it does not have a built in webcam and the ports are vertical on the back! The Early G5's are also wonderful to work on, you undo 2 screws and the entire back panel comes off giving access to the HD ~ every flat panel iMac after this one switched to you needing to take the screen off which is a real pain :drat:

One day, though!
Im working on a whole post about useful MacOS 9 software so you should totally get one working ~ there are sooo many good tools you can access on them!

I'm sneaking in under the G3 clause - no pics because its at my parents' but I inherited a G3 tower pc in bondi blue (with matching screen, keyboard, and horribly unergonomic but beautiful circular mouse). It's had a second hard drive added, and dual boots between OS9 and OSX (Tiger I believe?). I used that for years as my main computer, but it now lives on as a platform for playing OS9/X games that are hard to emulate now.
