Fishhooked - ❤︎ ∙ World Building

Hi all, this is a separate/related thread to this thread here! Why am I making a separate forum thread for this? Mainly because the OCs on display there are getting an official game/website/etc!

Please note that this project is still in *very* early development [ like , concepting stage ] and due to health issues progress on this will be very slow!

I'm still going to post in the prior thread, but it'll be more character centric things rather than world related things.

So with all of that aside, what is Fishhooked?
Fishhooked will be a queer horror visual novel made in Gamemaker about a blind man moving into a small town where he meets a mysterious young man and unravels the secrets of the town, along with the complicated relationship he has with this man who may not be what he seems.

Basically, cosmic horror gay people. Yippee!

Here are a list of trigger warnings for the project as a whole! Please note that although some of these may sound bad the project is intended for 16+ audiences so they may be more mild than explicit! Still, I need to warn for these things for my own ease of mind. These may likely not be brought up in thread and even if they are the especially heavy stuff will be spoilered. I wanna keep this thread as light as possible!

- Addiction and homelessness
- Blood, gore, and body horror
- Cults/religious themes
- Self harm, suicide
- Eating disorders/Heavy food imagery
- Sex exclusively implied, neutrally discussed, or portrayed through metaphor. this isn't a nsfw game
- Tokophobia/Pregnancy and parasite imagery
- Discrimination [ primarily racism , ableism and transphobia ]
- Generally Dark Themes [ this is supposed to be like, a horror game lol ]
