hi!! i'm wondering if anyone here would be interested in playtesting my game? it's called 'vengeance of the vegetables', it's a roguelike automatic shooter, and you can play it on your browser

The game is pretty rad, I have a few suggestions/questions:

• You could suggest fullscreen to the player, otherwise it is difficult to read the characters.
• I think this is a bug: when I "get" a vegetable (attract?) I hear a chopping sound and the screen goes black for a few seconds.  Is this as expected?
• (minor) The game is keyboard based, but you need a mouse to press some buttons.

The game idea, art and flow quite good.  It is simple, rewarding, I smiled each time I crossed path with another baddie! Most importantly it is *fun*, which is the quality every game should strive for.

Keep developing!

edit: and if I can, why not provide downloadable binaries for people who prefer to play outside of browser?

1. it's certainly meant to be played on fullscreen, i never thought of it but i should make that more clear to players!

I see.  The "bug" may be becuase I use a very old pc without a dedicated graphics card.  Sometimes when I play a native binary (Linux) stuff fixes itself!

My opinion. Now I have no idea how serious you approach the game so my playtest may be a bit over the board xd

- Tone down speed boots. They are OP and seem to be crucial to survival. This kinda forces player into taking them ASAP. If they don't roll, you get frustrated and die.

- Rotating knifes have 0 feedback when and if enemy was hit, it gives this feeling of weak weapon and it's not fun. Maybe a small knockback on cooldown could work.

- In general, weapons lack this... well... "oompf" effect. A feedback that they did damage. Some visual and some audio cue.

- Music is nice and does not interfere with game, which is nice.

- I think graphics are bit unreadable, as in it's hard to sometimes distinguish "money" from enemies. White border helps, but not much. I think I'd make "money veggies" smaller. Much smaller. And maybe add them a dark tint so they look different.

- Those carrots at beginning are a bit too fast - faster than main char. Without boots they chase you too quickly and hit you and it's hard to counter since you can't aim.

- Characters are large, and when ears overlay with enemies that doesn't mean I am touching enemy. And that hit feels a bit unfair. I think I'd remove hitbox from ears.

- There seem to be a bug with treasure chest. Arrow with treasure sometimes disappear and then reappears. It happens many times.

- Where endless mode? And game needs persistent scoring. How else folks on forum gonna compete with each other?:p

But flow was good and it was really nice to play. It has potential.

I get an "index out of bounds" error when the game loads. The only thing still blocked by my browser is some JS from Google Tag Manager, so unless your game relies on that to run i don't know what's wrong.

Already playtested and filled the form on your site but I wanted to second that I'd also love to see endless mode and scoring added! I really enjoy this type of game and the graphics appeal to me more than any others in this genre, so if it had an endless score mode I'd probably keep coming back to play it, like, forever

-It doesn't say anywhere that you can use shift to do a dash (it seems I got it after an upgrade)

-the fork sucks, I'd like have a bit of control on the direction, especially since it doesn't target the closest enemy.

-the arrow that points me to an item is bugged as it was pointing out of bounds

-No regen or way to get health back (nvm I found out you can get hearts from the trees, I thought they were apples)

-Buff carrot needs to be nerfed or only appear later into the game

A really fun game! I’m not usually a fan of roguelike-style games, but I found this one really enjoyable, especially loved the character  .
I’d happily play it again, especially if you implement a permanent high-score table (as other users have suggested).
The only bug I encountered is that, in the menu where you choose between computer and mobile modes, the pointer disappears    behind the option buttons. I mentioned this in the playtesting form as well.

I think it's a very cute take on games like Vampire whatever, my wife was watching me over my shoulder and may be giving it a shot as well. My only qualm is the base speed seems too slow personally. Other than that I thought it was a very nice game :) These games are one of my favorite atm so I do not have too many other complaints about it if I'm being honest, sorry if this isn't super helpful :')
