kinda lazy sketch of my fursona in my sketchbook I did last month *photos a little sideways  :ok:*

I am not a fan of animal people, BUT the lines and formes are looking neat and tidy. If this is a character design then it is looking good.

I am rarely can make something this proportional and pleasing to eye.

I think that's just good ol' fashioned perfectionism talking.  You're seeing something others aren't specifically because of what you did.  The eyes don't look out of place at all; you did a very good job.

agree with this, looks nice. you can always make more snoopies with wonkier eyes :wizard:  :eyes:

I've been waiting for someone to start a thread like this! Especially since I'm still working on how I draw humans. As a test, I drew Shinji Ikari (I just wanted to use a random fictional character I like. No reason other than that....) and a few examples of how I'm trying to draw hands. I'm sure it's clear that I'm not striving for realism, so some constructive feedback understanding what I'm trying to do stylistically would be very appreciated.

(My phone quality always makes my lines look worse. Sorry about that.)

I would recommend getting a scanner app (I use CamScanner) it will get you good quality images of your art on your phone. It was like night and day for me and I used the app to get all my pictures for my art on my site.

Hello! This is a piece I did early this year that I played with for a while and it's pretty simple but I like it! I'd love to see what people think from a artistic perspective though! All critiques welcome  :wizard:

Spoiler
[close]

you already got a critique on what i would point out so i'd just like to add that if you have trouble with anatomy/posing you best friend is visual reference! there are lots of great and free resources out there, my go to is trueref but for an extreme angle like this you might want something like pose maniacs , where each pose is a 3d model that you can rotate to your desired perspective. theres deff more out there but i don't want to overwhelm.

also all the sparkles you added are very cute!

I've been working on an RPG for the past few years, had to restart for Godot 4, but figured I can show some of the visuals off. Things like the arrows are just stand-ins for now.

sick animations! also the rock texture looks super great. the only thing i can think to point out is that the pallet of your sprites crosses over a bit with the one of your background (the dark greyish purple) and it's honestly fine because the movement helps with the visual clarity, but the spoon(?) guy in the bottom right deff blends in more than the others.

:ha: in the end i think its a matter of taste, so feel free to ignore my critique

A sketch in like a kinda comic style of a squirrel oc I drew for the first time

Sorry if these are both a little too low effort for critique but still, feel free to offer any :3  :seal:

never hesitate to ask for advice! all art can be a learning experience  :cheerR:

your styles super cute i love your sense of proportions in the face and how you draw the eyes. in your sketch i see that your going over your lines a lot, (i think this is what art teachers call 'chicken scratch'?) like in the house in the background. you should try developing your line confidence! there are a lot of (admittedly boring) exercises to improve it, but what i always recommend is drawing in pen, that way your forced to commit to whatever you've drawn.

:dog: if this is something you chose to work on it'll not only help your confidence when drawing, but also help you draw faster! either way your characters hella adorb

Hii! So! I did my first linocut print in like...probably 15 years tonight and I realized I made a huge newbie error and made a design with eyes too small so I drew them on and now I'm worried that they make the design look...not good???

the eyes look fine, i love the heart shape on top! not a critique, but if this is a 15 years old linocut it would be really cool to see what it would look like now with your current skill set, i know i always get a kick out of redrawing my own art  :wizard:

:4u: it would be really helpful to have an example of the art style you are trying to achieve! there are lots of non-realistic styles out there and while it may seem clear to you which one you want, i unfortunately cannot read your mind through the internet LOL.

some general advice is to just do studies of artists you want to emulate, i know as a kid i used to draw stuff from the disney hercules kids book all the time  :dive:

also seconding that scanners are really great, i got one for myself off ebay for christmas and the quality is just  :chef: PERF
