I haven't really played videogames for as many years as some of y'all (I have been into videogames since forever but I've never had a console until 2022 so I just watched everything on YouTube back then) so I can't really speak from experience but 2017 was really dang good in my opinion!
We got Cuphead, Hollow Knight, Slime Rancher Undertale, Little Nightmares & Super Mario Oddysey which are already 6 of my all time favorite games so that's more than enough for me to consider this my favorite year!
But we also had lots of other amazing games and even some games that maybe weren't that good in retrospective but which were a big part of my childhood and have a very special place in my heart (not gonna say which is which tho, I'm gonna keep you guessing) like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Night in the Woods, Nier: Automata, Your Turn To Die, Doki Doki Literature Club, Rain World, A Hat in Time, Dead Cells, FNAF 6, BATIM, Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion HD Renovation Granny, Getting Over It, etc...
