I've been playing with Dithering a lot lately especially to give some of my recent works some of that old FMV pc game/old 3D art look from the 90's/2000's. there's even a mini point and click game i've been sort of making on a webpage. really adds to that look a lot so i love using it. here are a few things i've made. the dither in these are pretty subtle.

These are so great! You've got that early game exploration vibe down perfectly. I also downloaded and played your "pointless" point and click game. The shortness of it made me laugh

I LOVE Dithering. I use it for my games that utilize the 90s CD-ROM/ 90s CGI aesthetic. I tried to even add realtime dithering to my game. Unfortunately, due to how the GPU handles shaders, you can only do ordered dithering (not what I want) or random dithering (an atrocity to the eye).

There's also no easy way to streamline dithering for animations/videos. Dither-Me-This, a dithering website, is only supports one image at a time and a program I use for photo editing, photopea, doesn't let you pick the color palette nor the type of dithering to export your image as (there's a lot of hurdles in even exporting your image dithered.) photoshop is a little better but exporting 100s of frames of video would be slow.

dithermark has video support! it's a newer experimental feature that i haven't used much, but it's worth giving it a try! i use dithermark a lot for static images because i like how many options it gives for colors and style. the batch conversion feature is handy too.

omg i love dithering too.. it adds such a pretty yet nostalgic dynamic in both animations and still frames.

i love hand dithering my animations, it’s time consuming —
but it’s apart of the process that i love the most about animating :transport:
