I want every forum to be full of necromancers. I much prefer a rich and well-discussed topic with chaotic branch-outs rather than countless new ones. I want everyone to really push the limitations of threads and make use of every single quoting and reply feature. Turn it into a necromancy coven!

Yessss  Forum norms have also discouraged me from a necromancer build. But think of all the possibilities. There is untapped magic to be had…

This is when you post in a thread that no one has responded to in months or years, so it's usually unlikely that any users are around who have read the whole thing. Some places really hate it. I tend to think it isn't that harmful unless a forum moves extremely fast.

thoughts?

The wiki says that necroposting is perfectly fine, and people are encouraged to reply to older posts on the forum. I'm quite guilty of it myself- I enjoy riffling through the years of accumulated stuff, and picking out topics that snag my interest. People are quite receptive to it, here- and sometimes it brings about new conversations!

It's perfectly acceptable to post in old threads here :^) In fact, I'm going to encourage it by referring you (and anyone else reading this) to this thread about necroposting that hasn't been posted to since 2023: [link].

Whenever I get an idea for a topic, I usually use the search function to see if there's already a topic I can reply to before making a new one. Keeps things more tidy, I think.
