Hey guys mine are just he/him, Can someone explain neo-pronouns to me so I can understand them better? I've seen some interesting one's in this thread and I'm curious how they work in terms of conversation and do they filter into real life? I want to know more thanks

For traditional pronouns I use she/he/they, but I also like the neopronouns le/lem (as in. lemon. rhymes with they/them); I just think it's fun. I used to also like it/its, but that's not really my thing anymore lol. Hey guys mine are just he/him, Can someone explain neo-pronouns to me so I can understand them better? Basically as far as I understand it myself, neopronouns are a set of pronouns that don't ascribe to the gender binary, oftentimes matching up to a gender that also doesn't fit into the gender binary (ie. not male/female/somewhere in relation to those two) but not always. In terms of conversational use, it really depends on the structure; generally it goes something like: Prounouns: [x/xs] [X] is nice. This is [xs] pencil. This item is [x's]. [X] did it [xself]. This link explains it a lot better than I can. In terms of real life, it really depends on the person. I don't use mine, but people certainly can and do!

At this point I decided to just eschew pronouns entirely for myself. Not that I get offended when people use them for me; I list myself as any/all if people ask because I don't mind them being used for utility purposes. It's just that I don't feel a connection to any pronouns that are in use (commonly or not). I enjoy seeing other people's neopronouns though, it's a very fun way to think about a part of social interaction people usually take for granted.

"Hell is other people. But that’s only that side of the coin. The other side, which no one seems to mention, is also “Heaven is each other.” … Hell is separateness, uncommunicability, self-centeredness, lust for power, for riches, for fame. Heaven, on the other hand, is very simple—and very hard: caring about your fellow beings." -Jean-Paul Sartre
